Posts: 1158 Richmond, Virginia | Ok, so I rode my Vision into work and since my office is in the back of the building, I would go up front and look out the front to make sure it was ok, no one messing with it etc. etc.
About 3pm today I went up and noticed that the parking lot was almost full of cars, and there were three guys standing around my Vision. Since all of you know im a smartass, I couldnt resist
"finding a reason to walk out to check something on my bike". I got to my bike and fake looked in the saddle bags for something. One of the guys then said to me "So what made you buy this". (now had he said it in a genuine open minded tone, i would have said something respectfully appropriate, HOWEVER, his tone was more like "why the hell did you buy THAT". Here was my answer almost verbatim. """ Who wouldnt buy it, its in a class by itself, its the most technologically advanced bike on the planet, its got an excellent track record
with satisfaction and low to no repairs, its got great power, and JUSt LOOK AT ITS STYLE,
I didnt want to buy a bike that looked like everyone elses does. I wanted something made in America that represents thinking outside the box, not cookie cutter motorcycles""" ...
OK once that was all out in the open, the tall SUV parked next to me happened to pull away.............
READY ??? READY FOR THIS????? In the next parking space were 3 HD's all owned by the three guys standing next to my bike........................ I was torn between pissing my pants,
laughing my butt off, running for my life, and peering out the window once back inside to ensure that my bike was not keyed or dumped over. None of which happened...
hows that for a once in a life time experience !!

Good deal! Snappy reply. Might not've come out so COOL if you'd've known, huh?
Can I rehearse those lines for my use?

Not too long ago I went to a local car show. There were some custom bikes there and when I rode in on my Vision there was a space between 2 of the customs and the owners waived me into the spot. These bikes were not part of the show but I think those guys were there to show off anyway. They were hanging by their bikes as if they were part of the show. We parked the Vision and walked off to see the custom autos on show. Upon our return there was a crowd around the bikes. But no interest in the customs they were all looking at the Vision and once we got to the bike lots of questions ensued. Maybe next time those guys with the customs might not envite me to park between them. But what the heck. It's about the ride for me anyway.
