Posts: 143 Birmingham, AL 08 MC Tour Premium 2012 Bronze Mist | Just got the bike back from having the seat leathered up. I could have sworn I picked out a darker color but it's growing on me.

Posts: 143 Birmingham, AL 08 MC Tour Premium 2012 Bronze Mist | I'm sure it won't be as hot as the black vinyl and I've already noticed my but doesn't stick to it as bad.
I saw a post awhile back, don't remember who from, that mentioned they didn't get the monkey butt as quick with their new leather. Then I went into Tractor Supply to pick up some stuff and up front on a big display was Anti-Monkey Butt Powder. I didn't get any.
My leather guy took 3 days and did a great job. He even did the Utopia backrest and made a matching leather pouch like the original Utopia. $865

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | You may have read on one of my posts as I'm a true believer that NO PREMIUM MOTORCYCLE be without a leather saddle. I don't have one on my Vision just yet, but when I had the GL1200 I fixed that gal up with a leatherseat, cut down about an 1 1/2 and rode off to Texas. I can say it wasn't the Vision, but the leather made all the difference in the world. I could ride longer, even in the hot and didn't get the Monkey Butt. I actually think it is suppose to be baboon butt, but I think we all know what we're talking about. My seat guy does a great job but has a tendency to not be in a hurry, but then again he says he'll do my Vision seat, plain Jane for $500.00. I need to get off the saddle and let him do before summer gets here. |
