| I wanted to pass along some feedback on my Vision buying experience so far. I work in the Automotive industry and well understand what motivates someone to buy a car. I recently renewed my interest in getting back into cycling and have traditionally been a cruiser rider. A friend recommended me looking at a Victory and after doing a few days of laborious internet research, I have been more than pleased with the positive feedback from Victory owners. In that process I have transitioned into thinking very hard about a touring bike specifically because of the Vision. My house is up for sale and I can't pull the trigger until that is done. I can't wait!
Like many consumers I did my homework and walked into my local dealer (I won't name names) and was unimpressed due to the lack of product knowledge an enthusiasm. I am not going to buy from a dealer that know less than Victory than I do after 4 days of internet homework. Needless to say I won't be spending my $20K there.
Today I went into Skagit Valley Victory outside of Mt. Vernon WA and met a young man who was very knowledgeable, patient, enthusiastic and listened carefully what I had to say. I asked a technical question and he had Kim there lead tech (7 year Victory tech) come out an exhibited those same qualities. At the same time absolutely no pressure. If I had my house sold and cash in hand I would have bought right then and there. That is how I want to be sold.
This dealer is 32 miles north of me as opposed to my local dealer less than 2 miles away. I know where I am going to go when I am ready to vote with my wallet. Thanks SVV!

Posts: 548 Mount Vernon, WA United States | SVP is less than two miles from my house. Let me know when you head over and we'll take some pictures of the delivery for the site. The folks at SVP are first rate... at least from what I hear. I've lived here for 3 years haven't had to visit them for anything other than to say hello. But there are a lot of happy owners in the area. |

The dealer your talking about is on On hyw 99 in lynnwood. For the life of me i cant remember their name right now. I tired to look them up and there not even on the net. I bought my Vision from Thunder Alley Victory in Tri Cities, WA and they took very good care of me before during and after the sale. So if skagit wont work with ya which im sure they will do a great job keep TA in mind and tell them that good ole Chuck sent ya. good luck and dont forget pictures brother when you get it. |

Posts: 123 Marysville Washngton | I believe the name you are looking for is Motoplex. I stopped in there on Saturday to measure the height of the trunk as I am thinking about getting a Bike Barn instead of just a slip on cover. You would think that someone using a tape measure in the show room would have been a good time to ask a few helpful questions. Maybe even explore a sales possibility. The sales rep actually stood watching us with his head in his hand leaning on the back of the Vision next to me. He did say that he had sold 3 Visions that week already so I guess he was done for the week. |

| I know forums are a double edge sword for businesses. But forums are a reality of this day and age. Internet users who post on them are free to exercise the right to free speech. If I have a dispute with a business I will give them an opportunity to make it right before I willy-nilly blast them in public. I will share negative experiences if I feel it is in the interest of an internet community that I care about. By the same token I enjoy acknowledging those that exceed my expectations. That is rare anymore. Given the current economy I would expect more businesses to strive to serve customers that way.
(By the way sorry for all of my grammatical errors in my previous post. I was very tired!)
Thanks for the encouraging words and look forward to joining you all on the road soon! |
