CASHTON, WI United States | THOSE THAT HAVE DONE THE TRUCK LIGHT UPGRADE, HAS ANYONE ALSO DONE THE MIDDLE BRAKE LIGHT UPGRADE. ARE THERE ANY ISSUES WITH DOING BOTH? GOING TO DO THE TRUNK SOON AND WAS CONSIDERING THE MIDDLE LIGHT UPGRADE ALSO.

CASHTON, WI United States | GUARDMAN HAS POSTED A VERY GOOD DISCRIPTION OF HOW TO UPGRADE THE MIDDLE BRAKE LIGHTS. I'M WONDERING IF IT WAS DONE ALONG WITH THE TRUNK BRAKE/TURN SIGNAL UPGRADE. AND IF THERE WERE ANY ISSUES IN DOING BOTH.

Wichita, Kansas | The write-up is in the Tech-Reference forum, but no, I didn't look at the trunk issue since I am one of the chosen few with a Street Basic. I looked at the wiring diagram in the service manual and it looks like there shouldn't be a problem. |

| I have both mods done.
The only difference I have noticed is that the signal lights seem to cancel a little sooner than before the brake light mod.
I used to turn and get thru 1 shift before they would cancel, but now they cancel about half way to the shift after a turn.
Personally, I like having 6 brake lights illuminated and 2 signal lights blinking (soon to be 3 with the Muth Mirror mod on the way). Hopefully.... this will contribute to someone seeing something in front of them, before running over me and my baby!  |
