Posts: 297 VA | Ok, so I am making a wiring harness to run my GPS. I am using the harness that is used for the Victory/Garmin GPS. I got a AMP mini-multilock connector (thanks for the people that pointed me in the right direction!) Only problem is that I need to reduce the 12V from the bike down to 5V. Called Powerlet, nice guys, sent me the resistor that they use. However, bad luck, it didn't reduce the voltage. Going to see if they'll send me another one, but if I have to pay for it again, even though not that expensive, I might pass. I can go to radio shack and get a resistor/regulator and make my own, but I ordered this one because it was already made and sealed against the elements. Has anyone seen a semi-weatherproof 5V regulator on the net? I would be appreciative. I wired up my leads from the GPS, so I will have power and audio, now I just need to regulate it. I appreciate the help in advance.

ps- I will try to post pics of the finised product for those interested.

Posts: 297 VA | I took one apart, but it was a little large, and I was hoping to get something that was already sealed, and not quite as large. I appreciate the response though.
