This is a great point. Too many times have I looked in my mirror, then turned my head and lo and behold there was a car there. |

That sometimes work but I've really taking to checking over the shoulder anytime I do a lane change. I'm quick on the throttle from the light and I actually had a jerk "racing" me. When I thought I was well ahead of the crowd, I checked to move over not expecting anyone and there he was.
This safety message is brought to you by VaRyder and the "Virginia is for Lovers" foundation....
I like those mirrors from autosports and may have to order them. I've been looking for similar ones from the auto stores and can't seem to find them.

I tried the small ones from the auto parts store b4 I put on the Reliant Spot mirrors. The little ones helped some but the new ones are great. Rode 150 miles w/ the S.O. & noone slipped into my blind spot becuz there isn't any blind spot w/ these mirrors. Luv 'em ! |

Fountain Inn, SC United States | Clarification: these are not my mirrors. I'm just reposting them for you all.
As I understand it, the mirrors are mounted by means of a clip mounted to the bottom of the mirror. It then hooks between the Vision mirror and the silver fairing panel.
Here's a link to how it's mounted and where to buy:

Ken
I have ordered mine but have not yet received them is it possible to use some 3M double sided tape to stabilize them or even modify them to be taped on? That 3M tape is pretty stout stuff. |

Posts: 2118 Pitt Meadows, BC Canada | OK - So I have been riding with the new mirrors for a while now, and as promised - here is my opinion:
Too much vibration for them to be worth the cost and effort. Also, they cause too much brain activity - as you try to decipher TWO images every time you glance at your mirrors.
Finally, I think they detract a bit from the styling of the Vision - although they look ok in themselves.
I think I will be removing them soon - first I will try to dampen the vibration as suggested - but likely I will try them on some other vehicle since the concept is good and I hate to waste the $$$$. |

Posts: 106 L.I., N.Y. | I agree with donetracey about the vibration, but since the main mirror is for looking and I always turn and look before changing lanes, I have them set to view right next to my bike just out of my preipheral where autos some times move into that space. I look at it as an extra advantage. I'm going to play with trying to stablize the vibration out of them to make them easier to use. |

| I popped the back off, unscrewed the center screw so the mirror pops out, and then placed a "doughnut" of fairly firm packing foam around the mirror stem before reinstalling. While still adjustable, the compressed foam behind the mirror stopped the vibrations. |
