Posts: 49 west bend, wi | I have used Haul Bikes several times as well. All they haul is bikes and do a great jonb of it. If you are willing to pickup or deliver your bike to the Capitol Drive location in MKE they will usually discount the price a bit as well. |

Posts: 208 Wichita, Kansas | I shipped my Vision in to Wichita, KS from Prescott City, AZ and also used JC Motors (http://www.motorcycleshippers.com/ ). Cost was $700 even. No trouble and great job but a little slow getting the pickup. Online tracking of in-transit is nice. The Vision is considered an "oversize" bike so it cost extra.

Posts: 935 Rockford, IL | Keep in mind that you should and/or need and/or are required to have insurance on the bike while its in transport. Doesn't matter how it ends up getting transported...either a professional service or a friend or whatever.
I'm dealing with a customer right now who had a BMW Z3 tranported from Utah to Illinois by a "good friend" that was helping out for a "small fee". Well it got damaged by some road debris, to the tune of about $4800, and now this customers insurance company is denying the claim because they weren't notified to add coverage to this vehicle. This customer didn't think he needed to notify his insurance until he "took possesion" of the vehicle. And this good friend is saying "hey, I was doing you a favor and saving you a few dollars, I ain't paying. I can't be responsible for stuff in the road". Which, technically he is correct about.
So now this customer is attempting to "appeal" to get his unsurance to pay. But I'm pretty sure he is pretty much screwed and will have to pay for the repairs out of pocket. Chalk it up under.....LESSONS LEARNED. Don't assume that you are somehow covered.

Ditto on the slow pick-up but very meticulous. The guy that purchased my TC sent this company but they were two days late. I wasn't home the day they picked it up but my wife said they went over the bike with a flashlight making note of every flaw they found before loading which works in the owners favor if there's damage. Good Luck. |
