To all you Tejas Vision Pilots who are interested, I'm hooking up with VisionTex at the end of this month for a 5-day ride.  A rough itinerary would be:

Thurs 4/23 Blanco - Kerrville

Fri 4/24 Kerrville - Del Rio

Sat 4/25 Del Rio - Marathon

Sun 4/26 - Marathon - Big Bend - Marfa (plan on long day)

Mon 4/27 - Marfa - Fort Davis loop/Observatory - Alpine

Tue 4/28 - I head home through Dallas but others may keep the trip going...

V-Tex has plenty of scenery and historic stops included so it's just going to be a very relaxing tour.  Anyone on this forum is invited.  Would love to meet/ride with some of you guys, even if just for a meal/photo-op.

5 days???? I could do all of it in a day! But it wouldn't be as much fun as you guys are going to have. Enjoy folks.

SongFan and VisionTex,

I will see if I can take off work on the 23rd to ride from Blanco to Kerrville with yall. That should be a nice run. Are you dropping by Luckenbach and Fredricksburg on the way to Kerrville?

I just got approval from the wife. Now I will see what the boss says.

Ride Safe

Radioteacher,

Thursday looks like this:  V-Tex and I are hooking up around Houston somewhere and taking I-10 west until we peel off north to Blanco.  BBQ stop in Blanco.  Head over to Luckenbach, piddle around.  Head over to Willow Springs Loop, piddle around, maybe shoot the breeze at Harry's BBQ.  Ride the Loop then head on over to Kerrville for the night.

Like I said, this is a very laid back trip.  I was stationed in Kingsville 25 years ago and did one Hill Country trip in a car.  Fell in love with it and that is why it is my #1 choice for a road trip this year.  Never made it to Big Bend and am taking care of that now.  I know what that area will look like in the springtime and am looking forward to an absolutely fantastic trip.  You guys that live out there know what I'm talking about.

Guys...when you go through Big Bend be sure to ride to Lajitas and up to Presidio along the River Road. It's an AWESOME ride and will get you close to Marfa.

Be sure to check out the Marfa Lights at dusk! Have fun!

SongFan and VisionTex,

Are you guys still riding for BBQ in Blanco and riding to Kerrville tomorrow? If so, drop a note here if you have some idea what time you would be riding in that area. I can be in Blanco in less then an hour.

I will leave both you a PM with a phone number and email address that I get on my phone.

Ride Safe and have fun!

Tom, Bill and Skip,

Wow what a ride and what a sight! Four 2008 Victory Visions running together in the hill country of Texas. Words can not describe how much fun I had......pictures will be added soon. Followed by a video.

Also, a BIG Thank You to JAM and Miles for the Vision-Rider.com website. This ride would not have happened without your site and you guys!

I had a great time and wish I could have stayed longer. I am working out of my banks Fredricksberg branch trying to solve the issue that started when we were in Willow City. So much for a Vacation Day. Looks like I am not making the Brownies for the Spurs Game Party tonight.

Go Spurs Go!

Ride Safe
