| Just thought I'd post my findings on the half cover Victory sells for $99....
Nice cover all black with the Victory name and shield across the front/nose of the cover. The cover is soft and lined where it conacts the windsield which is a really nice feature. It folds down to a rather small ball for storage on a trip but it will take up some room in either the saddlebag or trunk.
The cover has 4 elastic loops, 2 on each side. I noticed the front two hook nicely over the brake and shift levr while the rear two hook nicely to the passenger floorboards. This in turn holds the cover down really well, requiring no other straps.
I did leave the bike out with the cover on last night to see how well it worked. While not 100% waterproof it did keep all the rain off the seat, dash and instrumentation. The windshield was damp and so was the trunk lid when the cover was taken off. This is probably due to how tightly the cover fits in these two places. I'll try this agin on another occasion and then spray with camp dry if it continues to allow moisture through.
Overall I think it was a good purchase which will prove to be vary handy while on the road. You can buy a generic half cover for around $35-$45 several places online, but this one fits really well. To me that was worth the few extra bucks. With my dealer discount I got the cover for $60 so work it, lol....... | |
