Posts: 123 Marysville Washngton | My bike got delivered yesterday and today they are installing reverse on it. WOW did they have to tear a lot apart to install it. Tomorrow at this time there will be another big smile riding around town |

| Ok maybe I'm being silly here but why did your dealer not order the bike with reverse installed at the factory? |

| Gotcha..... I knew there had to be a logical reason. Now is the reverse installed at the dealer considered FACTORY installed equipment? I only ask because if not it will NOT be covered by the extended warranty. You might want to make sure it gets listed as factory if "thats the way its being done now." Just thinking out loud....... |

| SongFan, I would hope you are correct, BUT that is the point I was trying to make. Extended Warranty Section 3-Coverage; A. Covered Components........... repair or replacement of all "factory-installed" mechanical and electrical operating parts on the vehicle.
The operative wording being "factory-installed." Now I wouldn't normally even respond to these sorts of posts BUT I've seen folks assume a part was covered because the dealer put it on, only to find out it wasn't. I'd be making darn sure it is covered, thats all I was saying. |

I also saw a black Tour in the Kent area.
Seems like they are gaining in popularity. |

Posts: 123 Marysville Washngton | thanks for the good thots and comments. I will pose a few questions to the dealer today prior to signing on the dotted line. Maybe he wanted his lead mechanic to know how to do it ...dunno but I will ask to satisfy all of our curiosity |

Posts: 123 Marysville Washngton | Well, Norm said they told him that the only bikes that came with reverse installed at the factory were the 10th anniversary ones. So, maybe something has changed as the bike has been on order since December. As to the extended warranty, he stated it would be covered as a factory item installed by a dealer. 2 hours and counting until I pick her up. Seems like 7 thousand hours at least. |
