Vineland, NJ United States | Anybody use any kind of throttle rocker type thing for throttle. I use the cruise control, but I got used to it on my Road Star and now feel incomplete without it. Doesn't fit right on the Vision. |

Hot Springs Village, Arkansas | I use a wide "crampbuster" with the back right corner cut out about a quarter inch to stay off of the bar-end. Works good for me, I can cut back on the muscle relaxer to just deal with the grin and my massive forearms aren't all pumped up :-). Alan |

Brighton, Colorado | I have a "throttle rocker" on my Vision. Took it off the Goldwing and put it on this one. Works great. Got it on line for about $10. Velcro holds it to the throttle with a plastic paddle. |

New Bohemia, VA | you know guys, I was doing perfectly fine without a throttle rocker on my Vision, the first bike I had with real cruise control. I find myself not engaging the cruise for a lot of miles but when I want to rest my hand I hit the cruise. Sheeesh, when I had the throttle rocker I didn't have to worry with it as much and only hit the throttle lock when I had to fiddle with something or another. Now that you guys mentioned the throttle rocker, I want one on the Vision. It can't be any throttle rocker though, it has to be one worthy of the Vision. Now where to get one... |

| Kuryakyn (sp) makes a smallish one that is rubber that should work perfect on the Visions stock grips |

| Paul, here is a link to JCW who sells the Kuryakyn boss. There are two pic's but note that the boss can be wrapped on the throttle tube at any location. I like mine positioned so it rests in the center of my palm so it sits more towards the inside of the grip.

Tucson, AZ | I use the Cramp Buster...no not for women as the joke went when i last posted and use it all the time. I like the cruise control but there are times that i just dont use it, like the twisties or traffic in town. Got my at the dealer for about 10 bucks.

New Bohemia, VA | Update: I was cleaning out the shed some, and what do I find? My old Throttle Rocker. I've had that puppy on the Vision for about a week now and find it to be very useful. Since the Iron Butt and 1k using no cruise I've taken to not using the cruise much any more. The rocker helps rest the grip for a while. |

| Why would you need to use something like that when you have a state of the art cruise control? Probably because it works about like mine (very jerky and erratic). You can control this somewhat by running the bike in 5th gear as suggested on some threads buy who wants to run in 5th gear all the time? Anyone know if theres a reflash available for the brain that would cure this? Tried the "lash learn" procedure listed in the service manual to take slack out of the cable when installing a new cruise cable but that does'nt work. Thanks |

| i put one on and it lasted 1 trip. fell off due to the taper on the grip. had one on the ultra and almost never needed the cruise. (cruise scares me after blowing a tire and having the cruise put the coals to the engine until the tire shredded.) does this work on the '08 tapered grip. |

Sorry UTB that your's eratic, my cruise is one of the many things that work well on my Vision. Just don't ask me about the popping. The funny thing is when I had my old GL1200 I put a throttle lock and a throttle rocker on it to aliviate the pain from the long rides and wished I had cruise. Now that I've got cruise, I'm glad it is optional. I think it more the interaction than anything and will put it on cruise occasionally, and it works as intended.
I couldn't find myself putting the bike in cruise in 5th gear, I hope you get that fixed very soon. |

Reno County, KS | I had the large paddle one on and lost it somewhere. I now have the little generic rubber one for about 7 months. I like it a lot. It's out of the way when I don't want it and it's there when I'm stuck on a freeway and don't wanna turn on the cruise control. I've pretty much forgotten it's there even though it's a forearm saver. |

 I don't see it as such. The Vision is a great bike but when I've got cruise control on that is one less interaction that I would like to have. As I mentioned before, when I didn't have cruise, I wanted it, now that I got it, I'm glad the use is optional.  |

20 miles west of Chicago. | I've got a throttle rocker and it's good. Make sure the rubber band is up on the rubber part of the grip, none of it on the metal grip cap. In heavier traffic, or if your not the leader in a group of two or more bikes, the cruise control is hard to use because of constant speed adjustments. The rocker let's you straighten out your fingers and get rid of the numbies or stiffnes in your fingers. Something like Kevin X's friction throttle lock would be nice, because it's easy to adjust with the throttle, but I can't see any way it could be designed to work on a Vision.
