Help!! Those who have installed a Cee Bailey windshield what size did you install? How tall are you? How happy is your co-pilot with the wind? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

While we are on the subject. I would like the have the windshield salvaged from my accident cut down to a shorter size. I was going to buy the short Cee Bailey windshield but got a deal on an OEM replacement from Easttexasrider. Since I keep the windshield all the way down 95% of the time I would like to have it so all the way up is the same. My question is what it the total travel of the windshield?

Thanks

I have the tall 22" windshield from CeeBaileys. While I have noticed a reduction in wind, my
co pilot claims it is the same as with the stock.

Orderd mine last week, I also went with the tall.
Needed to replace the stock, can't see properly through it with all the distortion.
Will post how it goes on and how the ride is once I take it out a few times.

I have the tall and the sport short from Cee Bailey. Both shields are awesome and better quality than OEM. CeeBailey will cut down
any shield to your specification height. All you have to do is order the next size taller then you want and tell them how much you want
removed off the top. He did not charge me for this. He originally shipped me a tall and it came with a very small blemish in it, so he instructed me to just keep it and when I was ready, mark on it how short I wanted it and UPS it back to him and he would make me a shortie out of it. He shipped me a totally new one to replace the blemished one. Great product, great customer service. Well worth the price (which is very reasonable.)

I am thinking of ordering one, I can't take the distortion of the factory one. The others that I have looked at are not anywhere close to being as distorted as mine.

I have the 4" taller than stock w/s from Cee Baileys & really like it. I'm 6'3" and this one does the job & NO distortion. Co-Pliot says "it routes the wind around me & I like it when it's all the way up". When riding solo, I keep it almost all the way down but it still keeps the wind & bugs out of my face.

I have heard of issues with alignment of the holes. Any one have these issues and if so, how did you compensate for it?
Seems like my 09 has more distortion that the previous years.

I got the 2" over stock, so I think that is a 20". I got the gray tint. I love it, but i don't think it does anything for the passenger.

This is a first I have hear of that. My alignment was perfect.

I'd put my 2008 OEM shield up against any in the ugly distorted contest. There is D.O.T. working hard for our tax dollars. Polaris should never have been allowed to get away with this hazard. Maybe in Canada?

Glad to know my OEM shield was just fine. And every one i have put together for other customers have been in good shape as well. Out of the 7 Visions in this area that i have uncrated and delivered, not one single complaint about a windshield and each one still has the facotry sheild on it.

Ordered my windshield late last Wednesday night. Was told 8-10 business days before shipping plus 3 business days for shipping.
Got an e-mail tonight saying it was already shipped.
Should be on for this weekend.

As posted above, I have a couple of the windshields from them. There is no irregularity in the install from the OEM shield. Anything that
is installed on a curve simply needs to be handled more slowly and carefully. The easiest way and least damaging blah blah blah is to align the center first then work your way out on opposing sides one at a time. Dont tighten them down until all of the bolts are attached then as you slowly tighten them make sure that they alignment is clean. Honestly, the whole process takes a whopping 5 minutes, Its not rocket science............... eventhough our bikes look like rockets ... Bite the bullet and buy yourselves one, you will be glad you did.

Just bought and installed mine a couple days ago and it is light years better than the stocker. I got the 18" and did not have any alignment issues and since stock height, (okay 1/2 inch diff) no noticeable difference in wind. If you hate the stock as much as I did then this will be money well spent.

Thank you one and all for your advice, information and opinions as well as sharing your experiences with the Cee Bailey windshield. I ordered the 18 inch since the taller one doesn't seem to be of much benefit to the co-pilot. I could live with the OEM shield it's only the top 1 inch that distorted, but way live with.

Getting ready to pull the trigger on a taller shield; have any of you guys bought the dark grey tint?

Comments or suggestions?

I think you can only get the dark in the really short shield. I have the light gray +2" over stock. I baby it, but I discovered a few long light scratches already. I only clean it in an up & down motion, so at least I don't have swirlys.

I just installed the short "1-1/2 Shorter than stock" and love it. I like looking over the windshield and this is great. If I need more protection I just run it up. No problems installing. Took about 15 minutes, most of that time was cleaning. Got the light tint, almost too light.

I did the +4 with light tint and love it. I can still look over it. No issues with alignment or QC of the windshield.
