Posts: 203 Rapid City, SD | Biggest thing is relax and enjoy the ride. Often a rider is a bit apprehensive on a first test ride and they seem to miss a bit in the experience. They may be unsure of certain characteristics therefore they hold back a little or try too hard. Just relax and let the bike do all the work. Settle into that cush seat and enjoy. The only question you'll need to ask is "why is the test ride so short?". Let us all know what you think when your done. Oh and Vision test rides are like pistachios, pringles etc. you can't stop at just one. I went back for 4 test rides the first time I had a truck in my area. |

1) THE BIKE ITSELF
2) THE VERY INTELLIGENT OWNER
THE OTHER COLORS ARE JUST THAT FRACTION BEHIND.
TALK TO THE DEALERSHIP PERSONAL....... THEY ARE THE IMPORTANT ONES.

You are correct, having a broken bike all the time is like kissing your sister it just doesn't make sense. I don't where your from but i can only hope that your dealer is as great as mine because nothing can spoil a good bike faster then a bad dealer. If you have choices check them all out i would rather have to go out of my way to get to a good dealer then settle for a mediocre dealer. I have purchased 3 Victory from my current and have had zero problems with them. They have even warrantied items that were out of warranty. I love my Vision and i can honestly say i would stop riding before i switch to another brand. I hope after thr ride your hook become one of us.
Post what decided doing, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise Midnight Cherry is and always will be the fastest.

Red is just a black wanna be ha ha ha ha Seriously dont pay any attention to anyones color preferences on here.
Its just a "family joke". We all love our bikes and lets face it, a bike is only as fast as its driver, as hot/sexy as its driver, as bold as its driver, or as poor as its driver. With regard to only having one dealer, thats the same as i have here in Virginia. I am lucky that
my dealer is outstanding almost like family. So worst case scenario for you, you might get a good dealer instead of an outstanding dealer, but between him being good and the wealth of knowledge on here, what few problems you will encounter will be easy fixes.
Dont sweat the small stuff. Go to the dealer, let the bike speak to you, make sure you are open to it, and during the ride
just take it all in. If it feels "like you", then you have your answer. Dont think so technical, and dont let its size intimidate you,
just sit on it and ride and you will soon learn what the rest of us have learned. You are on the most technologically advanced motorcycle in the world, that is a one of a kind in design, appearance, and performance. All others pale in comparison.
Enjoy your day and come back to tell us what we all already will know. |

Posts: 3006 San Antonio, TX | crash-bar,
I rode the demo fleet a few weeks ago in Austin, TX. I rode my Vision to the demo run so I did not ride a Vision. I did test ride the Vision twice before I bought one.
In Austin there were more rides available the riders. Great. They would let you ride as much as you wanted. Even better!
I wanted to ride the Jackpot and the Kingpin Low. Both are very nice but I love the Kingpin Low. The effort required to turn the Jackpot is just a little more then a skinny tire bike so that was not a problem but I did not like the rougher ride.
The Kingpin Low was awesome! They had one with S1L2 exhaust and another with a windshield and heated grips. All I needed to do to get it home would be a windshield, heated grips, S1L2 pipes, bags, a backrest and a divorce.
As soon as I pay off the Vision the Kingpin Low will be mine.
I recommend riding the Vision as often as you can and try the other bikes if all the Visions are all taken.
Make sure your demo Vision has the electric Windshield and try it out when at over 45 mph. Also, see if they have one with Highway pegs or the lower wind deflectors. We stopped on our run to talk and take a short break.
Take care and have fun! |

The bike speaks for itself. If you have spent any time here on the forum you will know the warts that it has. They are minor. Speaking as a veteran rider of my Vision (Ice Blue, how can you get any faster than ice?) I have all of 130 miles on my bike I can tell you it will not be the bike that will let you down. As others have suggested, spend some time lurking at the dealer and see how cusomers are handled. I am transitioning from a Hammer and the Vision is a dream to drive even compared to my fun Hammer. I was quite nervous taking such a large bike out. It almost drives itself around the corners. I am really quite impressed with the handling and ride quality of this bike.
I went with a friend who has been Harley brainwashed the other day and sat on a couple of bikes. I could hardly get the frikin things off the side stand they are so not ballanced like the Vision. Also, per my previous post, see if the dealer will give you some muscle relaxers if you buy the bike so that you will be able to relax the smile on your face after your first ride. |

Where are you? I'm waiting to hear if you have passed your pilots test and will soon be flying high with the rest of the Vision pilots.
