| Hello! Anyone know the correct belt deflection measurment? The 08 service manual says 20mm and the 09 owners manual says 32mm. Did they use a different belt on the 09 models? Is there a mistake in one of the manuals? Thanks! |

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | Bill, I can't say for sure but I have a change in my owners manual for '08 that sets it at 20mm. My dealer said that loosened it some more, and that is the case, I think the 32mm would be the same for '08 and '09, given that the belt is the same part number. I think it may have been determined that all the whine and growl was the belt being too tight on the rear pulley. I need to change my belt and my pulley since 30K is the recommended change out and I'm at 40K now with the orginal belt. So I'll see if there is a different pulley as the coating is peeling off the stock one. |
