Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | To appreciate the Vision one must see it nekked. I got to the dealer just as they were loading up a stripped Vision on the upperdeck so I never got to see it up close. But I studied it with rain beating against my face from the ground before they rolled it in. Made me want to go home to strip mine down to get a closer look. I think there is a lot of room to do some cool things on the Vision. Secret compartments, relocate CB, other mods, ect. I need a good two days just to take it a part and put it back together again. There's also a little card that is called Vision at the core, that I'd like to get a hold of that shows the stripped Vision and the features of the engineering. Has anyone pulled theirs apart to the bone to get ideas and to understand the workings? |

Posts: 639 Tri Cities, WA | I had walked into my local vic dealer one day and they had a vision on a rack stripped down and half the motor torn apart on it. It was wild to see that the frame stop up front . It looks like the motor just hangs there it's wild. It didnt look like a vision either with all of the fairing, bags, etc torn off. I have not torn my down that far for sure but im sure one day i will try and take a run at pulling most of the body work off and have a closer look at everything. |

Posts: 1158 Richmond, Virginia | About 20 years ago my cousin, a fairly intelligent man, bought an old corvette with the intention of breaking it down to its core, and re-building it from the ground up. He was smart in that he took his time. He emptied out his entire garage, and to keep things orderly, he placed all the parts as he removed them in a continuous pattern around the garage floor, so that he would know which step was next on the re-build. All of the smaller inner workings, he put in zip lock bags and also placed them on this garage floor master plan. He went out of town for a week on business and really looked forward to coming back home to start re-building his beloved corvette. When he got home, changed his clothes kissed his wife, she said "i have a surprise for you", I know how hard you have been working on your car and while you were gone, i noticed that there were pieces parts all over the garage. So i cleaned it up for you and put everything in one big pile, so you had space to work....................... That was 20 years ago, still no corvette.
Whats the moral of this story boys??? Leave shit alone that doesnt need to be messed with. or divorce your wife. |

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | - my wife NEVER goes in the garage
- I don't have a garage
- my wife NEVER rearranges my stuff
- I would never divorce my wife even if she did 1 or 3 or both.
With that, is the Vision ridable nekked? |
