I purchased a larger brake pedal...can anyone tell me how to remove the stock pedal before I start banging and twisting. Does the rubber boot come off first?

Varyder is right on.  I put a rag over my pedals used a large channel lock and 'all my might' and they twisted off.

It was a struggle...but I won!

ok, must have ordered wrong thing. I got old brake peg off but new polaris extended will not fit, the bolt is bigger than hole? I ordered part number Polaris #2875019 (peg shift long).

Did I buy wrong thing, if so what do I need to order to end up with a longer brake peg?

Thanks

You might have to tap the hole if you can't return the peg? I will be watching this post, because I want a peg that sticks about about another inch.

The stock pegs are put in with lock tite so you need a bit of umph. Just used vice grips and turned. Right side quite tight but left side not bad at all.

that's exactly what I want to do but don't know what part to buy and I don't want to re-tap the OEM hole.

Arlen Ness has longer brake and shifter pegs. They come in several styles . I have used them twice and love them. They replace stock perfectly. By the way,a rubber strap wrench works the best to remove the pegs and it won't damage them if you want to reuse them.

looks exactly like the one I bought from Polaris? It lists only the kingpin for fitment, does it fit on the Vision.

sorry for "whose on first question" but when you say they fit, are you referring to the Kuryakyn pegs or the Ness pegs? there are references to both in the thread?

When you saw them on the Vic Demo bike did they actually look longer than the stock peg?

I just put on the Ness Knurled Flare Tip Shifter pegs on my brake and shifter arms. The part number is V1139 cost 33.26 on Crusier customizing site. They are the only ones that fit victory without an adapter. There are others but it says on the site you need an adapter. The adapter costs around 4.00 ea. They look great and work good. they are a little over a inch or so longer than the stock.
