I'm at the mag rack at the local store and I start looking at the bike rags and NONE of them even mentions a Victory. What is up with that, are they trying to pretend that Victory doesn't makes one of the best bikes on the planet? I think a decade of being on the road and a strong following warrants a rag of its own, from custom to touring? So who print one with a few Vic's showcased instead of the same bike painted a different color each month for the centerfold?

varyder,

A Victory owner, being 2%er, has to live with the fact that 98% of the rides out there are some other manufactures.

Thanks CJ and RT! A group I'm certainly proud to be a part of.

Last months issue of RIDER magazine did a cover shot of zzzzzzzzzzzzz the Goldwing and inside their feature story was about
"The 10 most INFLUENTIAL bikes of the decade" THE VISION WAS NOT EVEN MENTIONED. So i was pissed
1. how could they even consider not mentioning it much less putting it at the top of the list
2. how could so many of you guys who get the magazine not even write in to the editor to blast them for it.
There was not one single mention in this months issue from anyone shaming them for what is obviously a huge error.
I emailed the editor my respectful but firm chastizing the day i got it.

so come on guys MAKE MORE NOISE When a HD makes the cut for "10 most influential" and a Vision doesnt, thats just a sin.

It all boils down to who pays the bills for the RAGS. If Victory does not advertise in the pages of these magazines, they are NOT going to be raved as the bikes to buy. It does not matter what your selling, if you don't pay someone to praise your product, the word does not get out unless it is by folks like us. I've heard HD sells 300,000 bikes per year, I'm sure Honda world wide is higher than that, Victory sells ~ 10,000 per year. HD and Honda have influential numbers and big budgets.

I did email the editor about the omission, amd I also suggested that the magazine do a side-by-side extended test ride comparing the Vision, Goldwing, Harley UC, BMW K1200LT, and possibly the Yamaha Venture and Kawaski Voyager. Even if they did the test, I suspect that they would still give the nod to the Goldwing. I enjoy the magazine, but it is biased toward the Goldwing. Honda is a big advertiser.
