Hi all, well after months and months of waiting for my Condo to sell, to be able to afford a bike. It finally happened.
Last Thursday 5/7/09 i flew down to south Florida and bought my bike. An 08 Premium Tour. Midnight Cherry S1 L 1 pipes, gatlin tips, lower deflectors, 2820 gps factory mount, Cee Baily windshield, all trunk bags, half cover, extra chrome, and the extended warranty. 5000 miles on it with the service just completed. I got a great price on it and the kicker, I rode it home ! back to Chicago. started out Fri morning from Palm Beach and rode to just north of Atlanta. 620 miles.
Spent the night and next day with friends. Left Sunday morning from Just north of Atlanta and ended the day in Merrillville Ind, another 653 miles behind me. I treated myself to some Crab Legs and a really decadent dessert Sun night. Monday morning was a breeze at 74 miles home.
A great experience and i never would have made it on any other bike. After i got home i relaxed a bit then with nothing really to do,........I went for a ride Im looking forward to many (s)miles ahead of me.

clubford00, what a great way to spend the first days ownership with your Vision. I think it is great that you have hung around at Vision - Riders for a long time learning about your bike. Your ride back to the Chicago area from Florida did not have any suprises, simply because you have already experience the ride here, on kinda a virtual ride by listening to us. We have praised and complained about the Vision, but the bike still brought you to the reality of buying one. This proves that this is a great site with great rider input to help folks make their decisions. Hope you have good luck with your Vision and ride safe.

Congrats on the new bike. Sounds like you had a great ride home.

One thing that I have noticed on this forum is that yes there is some tech talk, some accessory debates, some trip reports, etc. But the one thing that is common to almost every post is how much enjoyment we get out of our bikes......not much whining or BS, just a passion to ride.

Okay, the mushy moment is over you bunch of.......

No questions at all ive done a ton of research on this bike. Actually im the top poster/user on the Vog site. I have a ton of pictures and stories on there as well if anyone wants to look. Its not really a rival site, because we are all Victory enthusiasts and we are all looking for the best out of our rides, our bikes, and making friends. I am active in both places and will continue to be.
Thanks for the cudos on my new ride i love it.
