I couldn't believe it when I finally got to ride with another Vision rider (Squeak) last weekend. We all hopped on the highway and started riding back towards the east and north of Denver. Well, he was behind me for a bit and when I saw him coming up I looked at the front of his Vision and realized exactly why I LOVE this bike!

The looks are just blatantly AWESOME!

One thing I have noticed while riding on my own is that I forget just how cool this bike looks. So much so that other riders forget to give a "heya" sign while riding by. It IS funny!

The other thing I noticed that day is just how big and comfy and low centered this bike is. I asked my buddy if I could take his new UC (ultra classic HD) for a quick spin. He couldn't talk highly enough about his bike. Well, I thought it was a nice ride. His 103 kit did make the bike very powerful...but...I couldn't believe how close that stupid wind screen was. I felt like I was going to eat a portion out of the top before I got back. I literally went around the block because I was just so uncomfy when riding it. Don't get me wrong...it is a nice bike. But it is NO WHERE nearly as nice as the Vision. The worst part for him...which I didn't tell him...he paid twice what I paid for mine that already has a 106, movable screen, grips/seats (heated)...etc. (you know the drill). I will NEVER go back to another high centered bike again!

You should have insisted that he ride YOURS also. Nooooo... I guess not. That would have been considered "cruel and unusual punishment".

The sad thing is, if you had let him ride your bike, he would have gotten off and STILL said he preferred his bike. The one thing with HD owners that is a constant is that the brand recognition is more important to them then the ride, comfort, performance, and service As long as it says Harley Davidson on it they are "bad ass weekend studs". The funny thing is we have all grown up and gotten past the need for compensation vehicles.

Ha ha! He won't get on it. He says its a big bunch of plastic that he would never ride. He did take a vision for a demo while in Sturgis but hated every second.
The funniest part...he actually considered buying a GW. Uh...hello?! Plastic??? NOOOO...that isn't plastic...ITS JAPANESE!

Jim!!! Glad to know you had a great time riding with me. It was actually pretty cool riding by somebody that was riding "2 up". The two of you looked like you belonged there. Sure was fun to see another Vision right next to me. Had the same reaction. Seeing you behind me sure showed me how POWERFUL this thing looks when it's headed down the road. I traded in my wing for the Vision. NO comparison. Except, we didn't call it "plastic". We called it "tupperware." Being a HD rider, I can safely assume he hasn't seen your comments about his bike. Ouch!

Thanks for your patience on the helmet thing.
