At least I have my Vision to ride - after that laughable HD that I rode for two days in Maui. |

What is it like??

So despite the fact that the co-pilot is still asleep (you guys know I'm under contract not to make a decision without her input) I'm going to step out on limb and agree with Chris.
Life IS good!
Hey Don, throw in a post about your trip, did you rent the geezer glider or take a chance on a naked bike?
Crap, burned the toast again! *&^#!
What the hell was my mantra?
Oh yeah! Life is good! I could probably use a little dietary charcoal anyway. |

So I picked up my Road King (yeah, right...) early Saturday then later we rode West Maui - backwards. That is - on the OUTSIDE on blind corners and hairpins and only one lane. At one point an oncoming car caused me to make the decision to move to the LEFT on him - and hug the bank - actually stopped and leaned the bike into the bank to allow him by by inches. The outside was a sheer drop of about 2000 feet.
Exciting stuff all the way..... Co-pilot thought it was 'neat' - fearless, she is.
That 'road' goes all the way around to Lahina - where we stopped for photos and Cheeseburger In Paradise.
Sunday we rode out to Hana - 37 one lane bridges - but at least road is mostly 2 lane. Turned around and rode back - up into the highlands of Mt. Haliakila and out to the winery. Then back home to Kihei.
All in all -drove all the main roads of Maui in two days.... more fun than my rented Mustang Conv't. although I didn't like riding a bike that handled so bad that I had to pull over for cagers..... |

I can not wait to go back. Watching the sunset from Cheeseburger In Paradise was one of the best parts of our trip six years ago.
