Now why did you bring that up for SBR? The book don't call for it and if it did I'm 2 wheel bearings behind.

In 40+ years of riding and 14 different bikes I have never replaced a wheel bearing. The main thing to remember is if you use a car wash or pressure washer, do not direct the stream on the axle/wheel bearing area.

I'm waiting for my rear tire to come in (back ordered) and the bike goes in for new shoes and powder coat on the wheels. The wrench said he'll remove the bearing for me and put them back in when the wheels come back. He advised he'll check them for "roughness", but they should be fine.

The Vision Service Manual specifically states in a couple places DO NOT reuse the wheel bearings once they are removed.
