Posts: 3204 Memphis | I have the same one as ez chair and show about 190-200. I got stuck in a wicked traffic jam with the air temp at about 74 degrees and it got up to 210.

Posts: 849 , FL United States | Just put the thermo dipstick from my 2000 v92 Sport Cruiser on my Vis. Apparently these dipsticks fit ALL Victorys. Mine is running about 190-210 'til I get stuck in a traffic jam which pushes it up to around 230-240.
BTW it's very easy to read. After screwing it down tight (to prevent leaks!) you just turn the dial w/ your fingertip to the position where you can read it from the saddle. Billet makes it just one more piece of BLING!!!!!!!

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | I use the standard Victory Thermo dipstick and can read it good from the saddle. Mine runs at around 200 normally. Interestingly enough, after I added, people would admire the bike and then look at the temp gauge and ask "What does that do?" I guess folk like shiny things with number.

| Google is a wonderful thing !!!
This dipstick goes to 250 degrees. The Victory version goes higher. I did not know Victory made one before I bought this one (not in the online Vision manual). I have not seen the Victory one in person, but the knobby head should give you something to grab a hold of when trying to remove it.
Victory's Dipstick
Mine has been staying between 180 and 200 degrees here in the SoCal winter.
FWIW, the face of it looks GREAT. It matches the speedo and tach on the Vision. It looks quite nice on the bike. I bought a friend one for Christmas for his new Vision.
As far as using it while riding, I look at it like an analog speedo. I look at the direction of the needle versus trying to read the numbers. I want to keep my eyes ahead of me, not beneath me =). The needle usually is @ 12-o'clock.
HTH,
Tim
P.S.
The picture at the top looks yellowish. The gauge is not yellow, it is chrome like what is in the center picture.

Posts: 3204 Memphis | These dipsicks look great but are not as easy to remove as you think. The knobby part is just to rotate the face in any direction. You actually have to grab the very bottom where it's flush against the engine. Not a big deal but nice to know info. |
