Posts: 311 Atlanta Area | Glad to see my little invention is still sticking around. What I don't get is all the threads about people buying the Ness or Cycle Dragons. Sure, everyone has a choice, but the bang for the buck? You can't possibly beat $200 bucks for pipes that sound as good or better than the big boy pipes. Personally, I still have not heard a better sounding pipe on the Vision than da Bombs.... |

I agree with 1Atom12. I've heard the L1 & L2 pipes from Victory. IMHO the Atom Bombs sound better, much better than these pipes. I haven't heard the Ness Honkers yet, so I can't judge them....yet. I'm looking forward to the AVR so all of the exhausts can be truly compared. I'm thinking that the general consensus is going to be to go with the Atom Bombs. Especially when the price is factored into the picture. |

Posts: 150 Las Vegas, Nevada USA baby! | The main thing I don't like about the stock exhaust system is that it is way too loud for me. I wish there was one that would make it just a whisper. Nearly silent; so that all I could hear would be the wind passing by, and my stereo when I use it! But that is just my opinion. I think I am probably the only one though. Oh well, I suppose I might lose 3-11 horses doing that, but I really don't give a rat's fanny about several h.p.'s and definetly don't want loud pipes. |

Ed, my friend, crank up the radio another notch and you'll not hear the pipes. |

Posts: 244 Fargo, ND | 1atom12, I'm definitely interested in your mod. Can you tell me how the loudness compares to the S1L1? I would like a deeper throatier sound, but not looking for much louder than stock. I rarely listen to the radio anyway. I'd much rather hear the bike singing as she runs, but I don't want it loud like the swept pipes on my Hammer. As much as I love that sound, I don't want to be like the "other" brand that has to be louder than anything else on the road and need earplugs to ride more than 10 minutes. Thanks, and I'll be in touch.
PS: edradio...stock pipes are too loud??? |

| the 'bombs' sound like they will be similar in tone to the Jardines I put on my old Vulcan 1600. It was one of the nicest sounding bikes around and rec'd many compliments and inquiries.

Posts: 127 OHIO | I too have the bombs on mine, and for the price can't be beat. Mine seem louder since I took the trunk off. I have had all positive comments about the exhaust, and the gatlin tips. I'm running without any remap. I think these bikes run rich from the factory. |

Posts: 244 Fargo, ND | So, can anyone tell me how they compare in volume to the S1L1 or S1L2? Are they about the same or louder? I don't really want a lot louder than stock, but some would be nice. It needs a deeper, throatier tone that it has, but I don't want to sound like "the other brand". |

Posts: 154 Cabot Arkansas | I have not heard the atom bomb .but I did just get the Ness Big Honkers Twin sucker and bigshot fuel controller on mine last week. They sound GREAT ! Nice DEEP low rumble, not too loud just a deep rumble. My Jackpot has slashness pipes and they are LOUD.These Big Honkers remind me of the sound of my wifes kingpin with the Victory slip ons maybe just a little louder and deeper rumble. When my Vision was stock my wife's vision would beat mine by about 1 bike length on a 6th gear roll on from 60- 90 NOW Mine beats hers by about 4 bike lengths on the same roll on

Posts: 16 Rockaway, NJ | I have the ATOM BOMBS on my #78 Anniv Vision. They sound GREAT. I also added the Lloydz Fuel Controller with Lloydz Intake. I have to admit I was getting some popping but it was resolved when I had Lloydz dyno tune my Vision in Myrtle Beach. Wow what a difference all around.
This package would compare to the Ness Honkers with Twin Sucker and BigShot Fuel Controller.
I spent under $1000.00 installed by the dealer for my Lloydz Products with the A-BOMB Exhaust. Big bang for the buck. |

Remember the Atom Bombs can be built with three different baffle sizes. The 2.25 inch baffles are quite a bit louder than than the L1 or L2 pipes. If loud is not your thing, Bob can install a smaller baffle to suit your taste.
Keep in mind, I don't get a dime from Bob on the Atom Bombs, I just came up with the idea and think it's the best bang for the buck pipe out there...
BTW, I have over 10,000 miles on my Atom Bombs now with no issues. His work is top notch... |
