I have the XM radio and an iphone that I would like to be able to hear on a bluetooth headset. I currently use the victory intercom/CB cable but would like to get rid of the cable. I am pretty sure the iphone is a no brainer, but how can I get the XM to come through the wireless headset. Also, I can only hear incoming on the iphone with the cable, I have to pull over for anyone to hear me as the microphone is built into the Garmin Nuvi I currently use. I just purchased a 2820 and will be using that instead of the Nuvi. Does the bluetooth allow your voice when on a call to be transmitted back through the microphone on the helmet. Sorry if this has been asked before.

I have a VCan helmet with the entire system built into the helmet, i can hear my Garmin 2820 accept and send calls etc. I dont there there is a perfect system yet, but this is the best i have seen so far. Sometimes I think we are asking motorcycles to perform
like automobiles and we expect the results to be the same. I have to remind myself, that I bought a motorcycle to GET AWAY from all the constant noise and communication.

Thanks for the quick reply, one more question, can you get the XM radio that is built in and the am/fm to also work through the headset?

the only way to get the on board system to work with a BT headset is to convert the audio into a BT signal that can then be paired with the headset. this could involve using the amp outputs to the speakers for instance, connected to a bluetooth adapter (combining L&R channels into one 3-way plug), impedance matching of input and output signals and levels adjusted). The other issue to look into with BT headsets, is typically they can be used for intercom on one channel, and one stereo signal (A2DP) and one mono for cell phone or Zumo 550 (HFP) on another channel.

No real "add this device" to make it work the way you want I'm afraid. Vic should have incorporated BT into the bike or made it available as an option, but then it could be considered a safety or traffic hazard. Who knows ?

Contact J&M Electronics as I know that they are now making bluetooth dongles for the Honda GL1800 Goldwing to integrate audio, intercom, and navigation signals, perhaps they can modify one to work on the Vision.
