| I've taken mine to work and back in the trunk (it fits better than the trunck latch) but I'm concerned about taking it any distance. Has anyone traveled w/a laptop on a Vision? Did you do any special padding? ~Shy |

Posts: 520 Simi Valley, CA | I recently bought an Acer Netbook for travel, I brought it on a 550 mile ride this weekend with no issues. I carry it in a small bag that I bought when I got the computer. The thing is so small, it doesn't take up much room at all.

Posts: 12 Valparaiso, IN | Last fall my wife and I went on a 2400 mile trip over 9 days and I took my Lenovo T-61 with me and just put it in the trunk on top of everything else and did not have any problems. I didn't put it in a laptop bag as that would have taken up more room. |

Posts: 249 Montreal, QC Canada | We have the Acer netbook as well. Used it for our trip from Phoenix to Toronto. Never had a problem. We keep it in a small padded case. You can stop at any Starbucks and use their signal. We use it to book hotels along the way or to check flights. |

That being said, if you can secure it from boucing, you should be ok.. |

Posts: 59 Pocono Mountains of PA | As a CE for HewlettPackard, I carry my laptop almost all the time. I use a "swiss" backpack to carry the laptop, tools, documentation, CD's and whatever I need. The backpack, fully loaded, fits into the trunk and most people are amazed that it does. I have had no issues with the laptop over the last year of carrying it. Even took it on my trip to Bikeweek in Daytone.... |

I have and do carry my laptop and it fits in the trunk. I'm looking to get an Acer so that I can put it in a side bag, but I do have a small tablet type HP that fits and rides well. My iPod touch is also wifi capable with browser and email so it is what I carry most of the time since it has the tunes to listen to. |

Varyder, Im with you. My cellphone does everything! lol I Have one of those Samsung Omnia. Its the only Smartphone ive kept for more than 2-3 months.. The browser even allows me to check my banking and credit card websites. Of course you have to do this all on a smaller screen but it still is alot easier than carrying a laptop and then booting it up each time you want to use it. Plus no worries about finding a wifi hotspot (which it does have btw) one time i travels with a laptop in a padded case and when i got to where i was going, the wifi card stopped working, i had to find a walmart and purchase a USB wifi adaptor. Dont know if it was the trip that broke the internal card or just bad luck.. |

Posts: 301 Buffalo Grove,Ill | I bought a 9" Netbook for just when i go on short trips. Its small enough to fit almost anywhere. It slips right in the side bag of my Vision. When i go on long trips i have the Victory Passenger bag right behind me and my full size laptop fits with no problem.
I have soft cases for both and they have good protection. |
