Just hope this serves as a reminder to all of us, no, me, that I have to be careful every minute, just like someone's life depended on it.

I was hoping Billy would get more than 9 years. He should get 15 - 30 for the crap he did!

Folks are entitled to their opinion and they mentioned in the article some folks don't think he should get anything but community service, donating bikes and talking the dangers of drinking and driving.

I know that he is perhaps remorseful and he'll have 9 years to consider his actions of that night and the results. His celebrity status is by no means a bargining chip and can agree, a few more years for good measure could have been in order.

Billy was always drinking in the show, even during a stop off at a strip club during a road trip to a Dallas bike show. If you recall, he saddled up and continued his ride to Dallas. Play with fire and you get burned (In this case a innocent rider was killed). I hate it for him, but I don't feel real sympathy for him either.

Although I thought he was a pretty cool guy, I would hate to be in his shoes now.

Remorseful doesn't bring someone's father back to life after you slaughtered him. Why should anyone continue on with their life as if little or nothing happened if they have taken another as a result of poor judgement? How many public service ads do we need to have on TV that inform us that we'll get busted one way or another if we act this way? That guy KNEW what the risks were before he got behind the wheel. He planned on driving himself home after partying from the get go when he was sober. He let himself get waaaaayyy too sloppy and then killed someone as a result. He deserves 10X what he gets sentenced, regardless of wether or not he feels bad... Funny how they're suddenly sensitive individuals after they get caught in the act... I'm sure they are (after the fact).

bigwill I understand what you are saying and do concur. The law has ruled and he has been given his sentence regardless of what we might have done to bring justice. Knowing that nothing will bring the man back he killed that day, being remorseful seems to bring a little more healing to the family then not showing remorse. It, in and of itself often moves the judge to the decision for sentence.

With that, if he indeed bears remorse, his own punishment is in living, knowing that he can do nothing good to correct his action, it is a prison to itself.

If one of us did it we would be doing time. It's "cute" he cut his hair for court. Get life for that mop he used to have. :P
