| First off...let me say that this site is awesome!! I have learned alot from just reading posts and replies. I am a new vision owner. I bought a 2008 tour premium on ebay from a great guy who unfortunately lost his job. When i pick the bike up from the shippers i noticed that the HID light, the fog lights and the tour pack light would not turn on. I called the owner and he said that if you turn the HID lights of without the bike running it could blow a fuse. No big deal i thought...but does the headlight fuse\circuit breaker control the tour pack lights as well? The dealer told me that they had never seen that circuit breaker burn out. Can anyone help me out with this issue? I would just bring it to the dealer but I have not recieved the title yet so the bike isn't registered and that's killing me because the weather has been great.....also i have the garmin 2720...can anyone tell me how to get it off the bike so i can update the maps and wallpaper. thanx

http://www.mediafire.com/2008visioninfo
and download the maintenance manual and save it on your hard drive. On page 508 or so (at work so this is from memory) there are wiring diagrams. That will answer all your questions and will be invaluable in the future.
I have the fog lights. He's feeding you a line. They are just lights, but they are powered by the HID power lines. If you lost both, the most likely cause is the plug on the back of the HID switch is loose or off. It could be a blown fuse, but I'd bet against it. If it is a fuse, there is a short somewhere. I'd check the fog light wiring - they are connected with bullet connectors and could have come loose. Also on the 2008 the fog lights are switched off when the high beams are on.
There is a lot of stuff on this site (which is the best there is for the Vision). Go to the 2 tech forums and read all the posts there and most of your questions will be answered. For any that are not, try a search. We're a helpful bunch so most problems and solutions have already been shared.
And welcome to the Vision. You'll love it. Ride safe.
