| If I was to choose the one weak point on Anny it would be the rims/wheels. I have had painted wheels on my last 2 Vics and they are so easy to wash and keep clean. Thanks to Larry of Pure Polaris Products I was doing it wrong. I was using too much and rubbing too hard. I got the right side cleaned yesterday before my hands tired (severe carpal tunnel) and will do the other side one nite this week.
A little dab of Awesome Metal Polish on a terry cloth towel and just some easy rubbing back and forth and it works great.
My problem is getting the road salt etching out. Heated seat, heated hand grips, electric windshield, full fairing and polished aluminum wheels? Sure seems like the bike was set up for cold weather riding except for the wheels. I think chrome ones would even be better. I am thinking of having them painted red and black this winter?
Well, if this is my only complaint it can't be so bad. |

| Yeah, chrome is nice. Advanced Plating in Nashville did the bumpers for my '60 Ranchero and they are show quality. I worry about the chrome and road salt. If I paint them I can acid dip and alodine them here at work to prep for the painter then all they do is spray. |

| Well finished the other side of the wheel last nite. It looks good but I think I will paint. This is way too much work. My '99 has and my '03 had painted wheels. A little soap and a quick rinse and they looked pretty.
Now to powdercoat or just paint? |

I personally think chrome wheels would look much better on the Anniversary bike than red or black. |
