Street Backrest

I picked up the backrest off e-bay but it did not come with any instructions or template for cutting out the filler panel... It looks like there are lines molded into the panel but do you cut to the inside or the outside of the line? The directions say to cut along the inside edge of the template lines. The template is placed over the lines on the panel. Maybe you can get the template from your dealer, if you don't feel comfortable cutting it without the template. The part number of the template is 7175111. I used a coping saw to cut it. Cut slowly and it works great. Also, wrap something soft around the panel and place it in a vise to hold it.
