Hey buddy,, do you want to come over my house and stare at my bike every day for a while? Will that help? You know id let ya.
Too bad you cant get a "loaner" bike like an automobile while yours is in for service huh. But then like Enterprise Rental cars,
you would end up getting some base model motorcycle thats beat up, smells like cigarettes, and has missing parts. So basically you'd be
getting a loaner HD.

thanks for the offer. the bentley is in my hanger so I see it everyday, nekked. I started to go the rental route but since I was doing the service and repair (?) myself I lost that option. And yes I could have gotten a cycle rental which would have been a harley since no one else rents around here. Thus that motivated to do this myself so I can be riding by the weekend hopefully.

This would put a lot of nuts on two wheels. Cages are bad enough, dealing with squirrels on bikes too?
