How hard are they to remove?Has anyone seen them powder coated black?I'm a fan of lots of black on my bikes.

Exactly what heat shields are you referring to? The ones protecting the outter chromed exhaust? You can probably powder coat them but it would have to be a heat resistant "paint". Lordy, does chrome really offend you that much??????

If you are talking about the cover that is under the middle of the bike(crossover?), it has been suggested to use bbq paint on it. I haven't tried it yet, but mine has turned color due to the heat so I may try it soon.
