Posts: 81 Lynnwood, WA | Hey Guys,
I'm sitting here on the fence, thinking about making the leap over to a Vision Tour Premium. I currently have a totally awesome 04 Vegas, that I absolutely love. It's loud and extremely good looking.
Please tell me something that will help me make up my mind.... OK, I'm leaning that direction anyway, guess I just need a push.
Wish I could afford to keep the Vegas and buy the Vision, but with the current economy, I don't think that is going to be possible.
Thanks for any input and/or advice you might have.

Posts: 172 Prescott, Az | I'm 65 and have had a bad back for over 20 years. I can't even sleep in a bed for more than one night at a time. I get pain in places the doctors haven't researched yet. I just got back from a two day 650 mile ride around the beautiful White Mountains of Arizona. The Vision is the perfect bike for touring. I think many older people ride the Vision because the bike reflects their time in life when relaxing and enjoying the view are more important now than racing and blowing out eardrums. If you are ready, get the Vision, enjoy the ride, and don't look back. That's my $.02 |

If ya like to ride - I mean RIDE - all day long - every day .... then there just simply is no other machine to own.
If all you want is to impress your buddies, then don't bother with a Vision - most of them wouldn't appreciate what it is.
If you want to impress yourself - buy a Vision.
Best bike I have ever seen - and I own one. I am impressed with ME ! |

Posts: 3204 Memphis | Ok Terry, don't kid yourself. You're gonna get a Vision. It's basically for the same reason you got a Vegas. You want to be different. The Vision is a whole new level of different. Everybody is proud of their rides and likes it when other people notice and appreciate it but the Vision gets attention nearly every single time you stop the bike. My favorite articles/reviews about the Vision are the ones where it is run with a group of other bikes and the reviewer almost always makes the statement that the Vision got more attention than any other bike he has ever been out on. You get the impression that they don't even like the looks personally but are truly surprised that so many other people do. When you get your Tour, pay the extra and get the cover plate for the Street conversion. You will not miss the Vegas at all. You will reminisce about the good times you had with the Vegas but you will not miss it. We can talk here forever about how much you will like the Vision but you won't believe it can be that much better until you've owned one. It's that much nicer. One other interesting side note: Hard core Harley riders never felt intimidated by Victory until the Vision showed up. It is almost like a sport for me now to find a restaurant parking lot with a lot of bikes in it, watch the heads turn as I pull in and then go inside and watch how many conversations at the tables change from whatever they were talking about to pointing at my bike and picking out who likes it and who can't stand it. Good times.

Posts: 102 Northeast Pennsylvania | I have a real problem with the Vision and you will too when you get one. Should I ride it with the trunk on or off. I love it both ways. I didn't have this problem with my 99 or 2002 TC. |

Posts: 244 Fargo, ND | I traded a chromed-out, customized 05 Hammer for my Vision. I wish I could have them both too, but the real clincher for me was...my wife will ride with me on the Vision and loves it. She hated riding on the Hammer even with the Corbin dual touring saddle. Go for it. You'll love it like I do mine. |

I bought a new Vision in April I love it and have put over 5000 miles on it since then,I also have an 06 Jackpot in my garage cause I am afraid I might miss it if I sell, but since I bought the Vision I have only put about 100 miles on it Man I loved that Jackpot as much as anyone could love a woman I mean motorcycle. But every time I get ready to go for a ride I look at the LOUD and Proud Jackpot and think sure is fun to ride but then I remember the Vision is just as fun and LOT"S MORE COMFORTABLE ! I am beginnig to think maybe I should sell the Jackpot cause I just don't ride it much anymore. |

Does anyone have any thing to say about color? I'm currently thinking I like the Ice Blue. It looks faster than the Black ones...
Midnight Cherry looks pretty nice too...

Posts: 1484 LaPorte,Tx. | My only suggestions are don't keep the Vegas, unless you have a family member that wants it. And at this point in the year, I would wait to see the 2010 bikes for my color decision. If you don't like the 10 colors, I'm sure an Ice Blue will still be around in August. |

I am thinking I will be selling my beloved Hammer next year - complete with a layer of dust on it because I am only riding the Vision.
As for the color - wait a few more weeks and the 10's will be release and we will know what color they dropped. |

Posts: 125 Kerrville Texas ( now a homeowner on six acres) | I had a 2005 kingpen deluxe and I have told countless poeple that the difference between the kingpen and the vision is almost as great as the difference between my 1981 yamaha 650 special and the kingpen.
I too wanted to keep the kingpen but needed it to trade in. Realistically, with the vision sitting there you probably would not ever ride the old bike. It would be like driving a 1965 VW beetle or should I drive my 2009 Lincoln continental???

| I had a SWEET, loaded and probably the best sounding bike i've ever heard with my 05 kingpin. But dude JUST DO IT! The Vision is the shit. Me i can't stand it with the tour pack on but with it off it's a hot rod. All my Harley buddies are just amazed at all the attention it get's and what's really funnt evervy time we ride they like something else on it that they didn't 2 weeks ago. I also had a real hard time getting rid of my Kingpin......but i tell you what the Vision is the most comfortable bike you'll ever own, not to mention the coolest one you'll ever own. My onlt reservation about buying one make sure you have a well established dealer near you. My closest dealer is over 90 miles away and they suck. I am directly between Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids Mi. so it's not like i'm out in the sticks. Thank God Victory makes VERY low maitienece bike. |

Posts: 63 Corpus Christi Tx. | I jumped on the bandwagon last year and bought my Street Premium Vision having an 05 Hammer in the garage. I was skeptical about selling the Hammer since it does not see that much action due to the Vision but my wife, who rides also, asked me to keep it for her to ride. So I did and I'm glad I did because when I ride it it still gives me the sensation of wind and power in the face that the Vision does not. I need a thrill every now and then so that's when the Hammer comes into play but the Vision is still my main workhorse. Can't go wrong when you have the best of both worlds. Good luck to you in your decision.
Ride safe. |

Posts: 619 Southeast Iowa | "Just Do It" for all of the above reasons and more. I'm not even sure I really like the looks of the Vision when it came out but it just kept growing on me. Now that my baby has new flames she just looks hotter than hell. I have never owned a bike that has drawn soooo muuuch attention. I have had countless cars and bikes pull up next to me on the 4 lane and just run side by side for miles. The visual conversation almost always ends with a wide grin and a big thumbs up. Last week I was at a rally parked next to my brothers Screaming Eagle Electroglide Classic and I don't think anyone even noticed his bike. Do it, you won't regret it! |

| I hate my vision ...............I went out for breakfast the other day and had to order dinner three staes away...........Then I had to ride home . Darn , but I did get breakfast .............the next day
Seriously I have put over 12,000 miles on the bike in just over a year. It took 6 years to do that on my last bike. |

| I am in the same position that you are. I am waiting for the 2010 to see what colors are coming out. If it was not so close to being released I would have bought a Blue Ice Vision the day that I had the test ride. It would be nice to have one in Candy Red! I have an HD Ultra Classic and it was sure hard to get back on it on the highway after the Vison's smooth ride. Go ahead and wait for 2010 to see what is new, beside the 09 will be even cheaper! |

Posts: 81 Lynnwood, WA | Not sitting on the fence anymore! Thanks to all you guys, I did it! bought the Blue Ice Tour Premium yesterday. Picking it up from the dealer on Wednesday, as they had to install the new exhaust and didn't have time yesterday afternoon before closing time.
Still feeling emotional about the Vegas, but didn't think I could afford both. Thanks to you guys, I'm broke again!!!

From what I paid for the bike, I sincerely doubt there was a deal anywhere in the vicinity of where I was standing....

| The dealer here is still quoting the $22,000 figure. In alot of posts the numbers seem to be in the 18's or 19's. |

| Funny thing, I was every bit as happy with my Kingpin. Now that I've had the Vision for a month I've decided it's just a much more capable bike for what I want to do- touring, commuting, or even jumping to the store for beer...
It's surprisingly nimble and intuitive on the road, it's HIGHLY visible on city streets, and it'll carry my wife and I just fine without breaking a sweat.
Like you, I'd have preferred having both in my garage. |
