I bought some new pegs for my toe shifter and the brake peddle and am having issues with getting the stock ones off!!! Does one just cut the rubber off???? I would appreciate any advice! Happy riding.

Actually, get a bottle of the squirt hand soap, the liquid type that turns to foam. Spray a little at the ends of the rubber and let it soak underneath, then twist the rubber. As soon as it breaks loose, it will come right off with a bit of twisting and pulling.

Two choices:::

1) Fight them for a while and hope you don't pass out from exhaustion prior to them coming off.

2) Cut them off and toss in the garbage.

If you are replacing the pegs with the Kury Akyn extended pegs the simple way to get them off is to use a Vise-Grip and twist counter clockwise as the screw is bonded into the rubber and you won't be need the screw as the K-A pegs come with a replacement screw. I did this change out and the K-A pegs are about 1" longer than the stockers and look much better.

Sorry, I misunderstood exactly what you were trying to do. Go with the visegrips!
