| Paint Misbehavin came on TLC the other night with a paint that changes from black to invisible. This opens up a lot of possibilities when it comes to paint layering as it is now possible to have a graphic that is only visible when a certain temperature is reached. The cloaking cop car they filmed on the show for the police demonstration showed exactly what this technology can do. Being able to control paint at this level certainly makes it an exciting field to be in. Imagine your bike with flames that only show up when hot and disappears when cool or when riding down the road and the cold wind hits it.

I also have a couple of coffee mugs that have a graphic on them that changes color and actually changes the picture, when hot coffee is in them. One of them looks like a night sky scene, until you put in hot coffee, then it looks like a morning/sunrise scene.
I like the flames idea... If they could be ghost flames along the fairing or on the bottom of the tank of traditional bikes... that would be cool if the flames sortof appeared... as the bike got hot. |
