Posts: 446 East TN | OK, I have put my Road Glide on the market...So once it sells, I will need to be ready for the new Vision...So from all my research I have figured out these are the "mandatory items":
1. iPod interface cable
2. L1/S1-S2 kit (gatlin tips) (STILL NOT SURE WHICH ONE )
3. Passenger floorboard risers
4. Intercom/CB system
5. Utopia backrest
6. Gerbings heated clothing connector
7. Eventually: cams, intake plate, and the fuel controller (done by KevinX)
8. Lower Air Deflectors
Anything else??? Remember these are MANDATORY things not wants....

What version iPod do you have? You might need a charging adapter.
Get two headset kits for the intercom.
Trunk Mirror
12 Volt Outlet cord (BMW jack Male to Cigar Lighter Female)- So you can charge your cell phone in the trunk as you go down the road.
+1 on the Heel Toe Shifter. If you have a 30 inch or longer inseam, you can have the foot controls put in the middle or front position. In these locations you can use the standard rubber covered toe on the heel as well. I do not like the metal heel part that comes with the heel toe shifter.

Posts: 1158 Richmond, Virginia | Ok I'll say it. Since when is S1/L2 MANDATORY??? Maybe we define it differently, but a marginally larger boost in power and a louder exhaust arent mandatory in my book. Mandatory is safety, comfort, convenience. The CBintercom could be replaced with the bluetooth thats built into the Garmin GPS if one would use it. Lower wind deflectors mandatory. If you do any night time riding the front fog lights (you can have them wired into the 4th toggle switch on the dash which otherwise is blank). Highway pegs but get the "V" pegs not the Victory highway pegs, they look better and are much more versatile then the traditional "hot dog on a stick version". Add the dual plug sockets into the center console for your heated clothing. and get some chrome, while not mandatory will make you highly prized by other bikers ..... |

| I did the heel/toe thing with a Kingpin shift lever. Iso- pegs and a small rear peg works real well, looks good, and about 2/3 the price of the Vision H/T. |

| I think the rubber mats that go on the plastic in front of the floorboards help. $29.99
Do you need heated clothing plug ins for Momma? |
