Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | i'm out and stop by the local merchant and park down front at the some time a sports biker and his honey pulls up. I go in and do my biz and out again, and they are already done and loaded up. I look at her and say "you need to get him to get one of these" nodding toward my vision. She says "this is so hard!" referring to the leather patch on the fender called a seat. He laughs and sorta agrees but comments that the bike is big. He's riding a nice Triumph model that I didn't know they had, a deep dark Ice Blue. I tell him that it may be big looking but it handles like that, pointing to his bike. I say "In fact, I might not be able to stay the whole way, but I could give you a run for your money, for an old guy." He says "I know about you old guys because you have experience!" I just grin at this point and he comments about a few guys on harleys blowing him away scrapping floor boards. I tell him I've scrapped a few a time or two myself. It was a great exchange I think we all enjoyed, as they pulled away she was sitting high on her perch texting away in her jean short shorts and flip-flops. I hope they made it home safely. |

I was cringing at the thought of any road rash, but would it have done any good to say anything? I do hope they made it home and have many more days to ride, they were very nice kids. |
