Posts: 81 Lynnwood, WA | Hey guys,
I am brand new to the Vision. I think it is absolutely the finest bike! One thing that has come up, is the amount of hot air emitted from the engine, especially on the right side. I have done a search for a solution, and it appears that the "lowers" are the way to go. One question... Where do you get the clear ones? I looked on the Victory website and only found the black ones. Can someone direct me to who sells the clear?
Thanks!
Terry

| I have never seen them in Black, only clear. You talking about the black base? This is the only way I think them come. You should be able to get them through your dealer. |

Posts: 81 Lynnwood, WA | Hey Guys,
Thanks for the very quick responses! I am guessing that the Victory site that says "black" must be referring to the mounts, as pointed out by Frank C. Guess I didn't look close enough at the photos on the website, just the description...
Tarpits99, do you have these on your bike? I like that they come with the chrome mounts... would love to see what other riders are installing.
Thanks again!

I do NOT have these on my bike. The heat on my SSG Vision does not bother me much, so I've never really considered them as necessary. Perhaps its because Im almost 6' 5" tall and just naturally position my legs out in the airstream, or maybe the Ultra Classic Harley made me so miserable that riding a Webber grill would seem like an improvement.
I was actually searching for a tankbag and in my Googlin' discovered these air deflectors.
I have seen them on a lot of GoldWings over the years; so I thought I would pass on the info.
Perhaps one of the former GW owners on the forum who has used them could enlighten us as to the durability and value of these particular wind wings.

| When I bought Anny I asked about the "black" lowers from Victory. Only the brackets are black. They work really well so far. I can adjust them with my foot while riding. I found that I can tightened the grab of the bracket so the wind does not change the my setting using an Allen wrench.
They seem to work best for me when I direct the wind straight back toward my legs. I tried adjusting them so the wind would blow the engine heat past but that did not work the way I hoped. |

Posts: 639 Tri Cities, WA | Well i finally decided to add the lowers to my bike. I bought a set on my way into work. I plan to either paint them or tint them out to match my black bike more. I have been on the fence about these because of the look on the bike. I've come to the point that function over form is more important. It's been really hot here in E-WA state over 100+ deg every day for a week plus and the heat is just to much on the legs from the motor so the function is more important to me right now. I knew that after riding in 105 deg heat and getting slight heat burn from my motor that it was time. I have heard nothing but good things about them so i hope there worth the $200 i paid for them. I'm sure they are. |

Posts: 162 Extreme Southern, AZ United States | I got the BakerBuilt lowers and they are black frames with smoke plastic. They look good and work very well. It took me some time to determine the exact position but once I found it they work perfect. The good thing is that they are two piece. The top piece is smaller and they can either block off the wind or bring it right into your lap depending on the position. They are called Wind Wings. With the small wings that come on the bike, and the baker builts the bike is a lot cooler. Should help in the winter as well to protect from the wind. I tinted the small wings that come on the bike stock and they all match now. |

Posts: 639 Tri Cities, WA | This morning before coming into work I installed them. Pretty straight foward and easy install. Was already hot out in the garage so I took as little time as i could to just get them on but I did not rush the job either. They look ok on the bike. I really need to get them tinted or painted black on the inside. I cant wait to try them out tomorrow on my way to work after letting them sit for 24 hrs like the instructions say. :-) |

Posts: 323 N. Miami, Florida | Guys, if your plastic OEM lowers haven't broken yet, they will. With all the failures I brought these billet replacements to market. For details and more photos, finish options, and pricing go to www.CycleOpsUSA.com/custombillet.html.

Vision Rider members get 10% off from me, so use VR10 at checkout to apply the discount. We are also currently in production of our matching uppers in billet and should have the first ones ready within a week.
