| It is discolored and ugly. Cleaned it and it helped, but is there a fix or a cover?
thanks |

LOL
Yeah, from day one I always wondered what that darn ugly thing was down there. I figured it out one day checking air in the rear tire. I might have to get some BBQ paint.

You are darn tootin' there RT. However, it was 8:30 pm EST on the 20th that I took 'er for a test drive. I was on my way back home from seeing my Pop when that post was made on Father's Day. None the less, I never say the post until now, and if I saw the title, I thought maybe it was concerning reentry....heat shields, get it....???

Posts: 244 Fargo, ND | Here's a look at mine. I couldn't stand the discoloration and didn't want to take the exhaust apart just to powdercoat that little piece, so 600-degree ceramic grill paint. You cure it in 3 heat-up/cool-down steps, and it's held up well for 5,000 miles so far.

Posts: 244 Fargo, ND | Correction to my post...the ceramic paint was VHT (Very High Temp) Ceramic Grill Paint, good for 1300 to 2000 degrees F. |
