David White and I finally made the Iron Butt list from the ride back in May for the Redwing 19 ride. World record for 382 riders completing 1,000 miles in 24hrs as a sanctioned IBA ride.

What stink is that they didn't put our rides on there, Victory Vision, at least, not yet. But I searched and found several folk that has completed an Iron Butt on a Vision. Any one here that frequents the forum???

SongFan & ElroyJ stole my thunder.

I was going to ask how you made butter out of an iron. <sigh> By the way, if olive oil is squished out of olives and vegetable oil is squished out of vegetables.... how do they make baby oil?

Varyder... you don't want what bike you rode on the list. Right now, you have done the Iron Butt ride and you are getting a certain amount of cache from that. If they found out you were on a Vision, people would say "well, ANYBODY can do an Iron Butt on a VISION... be a real man and do it on an HD... that's HARDSHIP, man!"

See what I mean?

Put it this way... if Lindberg had done his transatlantic flight on a 747, sipping coffee at 500+mph and GPS for navigation, would we celebrate him?

Congrats nonetheless... even if it WAS on a Vision.

I had on my sig for a little while after that:

It takes a man to ride a thousand miles on a Harley
It takes a smart man to do it on a Vision
