Posts: 725 Reno County, KS | I did a search on this and red a few threads (about 5 I think) that touched on the subject but was unable to find any real comparisons. I currently have a home made welded wheel chock that was originally used for dirt bikes back in the day when I used to play with them. I used it on my vision once but like to have never gotten the front wheel to release once it was chocked. I'm looking at either the #4 Wheel Dock model http://www.wheeldock.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=33
Or the Condor PS-1500
http://www.condor-lift.com/product.asp?ItemID=1001
Both are not cheap per se but are within $10 of each other. I think both are semi-portable. I think I could use both in my enclosed trailer or in the shop as a stand.
What do you think?

I like the condor but i think you should never trailer your Vision unless it's going to the shop because it won't run. IMHO

Posts: 725 Reno County, KS | I agree with trailering but their are times when I wanna take my Vision and it's "portable garage" with me across state for camping. LOL |

Posts: 1484 LaPorte,Tx. | Several of my friend have the Baxley front wheel chock. http://www.baxleycompanies.com/LAChock.html I don't have one, but I believe these are really the best I've seen. They are higher priced though. |

Posts: 446 East TN | I own the Condor wheel chock and find it is GREAT...I have never used it on my Vision, yet. But I did use it numerous times on my Harley RG. It works as advertised, but when TRAILERING with it use straps to PULL the bike FORWARD into the chock not from the sides or the rear. If you just use the Condor for the front and minimal tension on the front with straps and then strap down the rear (pulling towards the rear of the bike) the bike WILL FALL OVER...Ask me how I know!!! Talked to the Condor guys at Myrtle Beach rally last year and the bike shoud be strapped in with MOST tension towards the front to hold it in place. Minimal tension on the rear of the bike. Overall it's a great wheel chock works well in the trailer or in the garage. It transisitions nicely from the trailer to the garage also, just remove ONE thumb screw and pop it's out of the trailer.

Posts: 550 Tacoma, WA | I trailer my Vision when the weather here is too poor to ride, and the roads are clear in Yakima, so I can ride with my Dad. I also trailer it so I can ride while I camp in comfort. I use a wheel chock on the front, and tie the bike down as well, and it is wonderful! I would of course, rather ride....but on my bike trips, I don't camp. I ride on my camping trips. Make any sense/???-----Metalguy |
