I went to the AVR in Spirit Lake, Iowa this weekend and had a great time...in spite of the weather.  Saw lots of Victorys, lots of Visions and met a few riders and did the Factory tour.  The weather was marginal and everything else was great except for the work Lloyd did on my bike...and that was awesome.  The guy is nothing short of a Master...like my bike looks the same, but once you thumb the starter button...it's a whole new world.  I told him 'my' main concern with my bike was the abruptness of the on / off throttle.  I didn't like it and asked him if he could deal with it.  I also told him I felt my bike was just not running as it could...period.  I found out I was correct with my assumptions as soon as he was done with it and I started it up...I noticed the difference immediately and a short ride later I knew I had made a good decision.  Lloyd spent about 45 minutes with it and installed the secondary air breather plate and fuel programmer he markets and then did a few pulls on the dyno and worked his tuning magic.  All I can say is 'what a difference'.  My motor went from a 'sad motor' to a 'happy motor' in 45 minutes.  It revs sooo much more free, the abruptness is gone and the rideability is 100% improved.  Not to say I didn't enjoy my bike preLloyd...but, postLloyd...it is truely awesome...it delivers great performance and it is just plain 'fun' to ride a 'happy motorcycle'.

Thanks Lloyd...it was a pleasure!

+1 here Lloyd installed the intake plate and fuel controller to my vision and what a difference. It runs so much smoother and I am getting about 4 to 5 more mpg. He is truly a wizard!!!

Thanks Lloyd

Biker Dave,
Did your bike have the Victory Download when Lloyd set up the VFC? If it had the Victory download could you share the setting on the Green and whateveer the setting is for acceleration fuel?

Can someone give me an overview of what Lloyd does? I have an 09 TP and like what people are saying about power and smoothness and everything... What are you guys having done? Does it void warranty?

and... how do I get it done too? I am in Long Beach, CA. Where is Lloyd?

Lloyd is in Pine Bush, NY. Well worth the ride. I believe the basic work he does will not void the warranty. Internal work would put you in a position to prove it wasn't that which caused the problem if something happened. Just wait till the warranty runs out and call Lloyd and plan a trip. Maybe it would work out that he would be in Spirit Lake next year and you would have a "short" ride? I recommend calling Lloyd with any question you have.

The best person to discuss Lloydz work is Lloyd himself. You can e-mail him, just go to his website. There are some $s involved, but it is effective. I had my SSG at the AVR last week and Lloyd put on a VFCIII, already had the intake plate on it, then had the bike dyno'd. 92 hp - 106 torque. The torque curve is flat all the way out to about 4500 rpm, then it starts to fall off. It makes 102 torque at 2200 rpm, that's what makes me happy. There is a cam set available, for the 09 you have to buy the split cam carrier along with the cams. And there are big bore kits, There was a 114 cu in Hammer on the dyno while I was there, the power was awesome. Does motor work void the warranty? I'm sure any internal work may cause some issues, but a fuel controller and intake plate I doubt would be an issue. There are a lot of dealers that do the install of those parts. Lloydz is out east, check out the his website. Lloyd is a great guy.

for those who had the intake plate put on, does your engine sound different? I had an intake plate put on and a VFCIII at the AVR. At idle and up to about 45 mph, there is a high pitched "whine" to the motor, kind of like a metallic rubbing noise. If you shake to bike when it is turned off, you can hear a rattle noise where the intake plate is.

The wine you are hearing is air being sucked into the engine. You hear it more because it's right below your console Vs in the front. There is nothing in the intake that sould rattle, is the VFC velcroed? I am sure Lloyd mounted under that top pannel that meets the seat. Pop that up and make sure it's secure.

Dave, when you had the S1/L2 pipes installed did they do the factory download. The setting for the VFC (green and yellow) can be checked by following the instructions on setup on Lloyds websight but don't touch it if you are not comfortable. Would have for the settings to get bumped, most interested in if you have had the factory download.

Walt, Yes I did have the factory download. Actually Lloyd did the setup of the fuel controller while on the dyno and I didn't see what he did. All I know is it runs soooo much better. I am sure if you email Llod he will get back to you if you have any questions. He is really a nice guy.
