Posts: 143 Birmingham, AL 08 MC Tour Premium 2012 Bronze Mist | Searching ebay for Vision stuff I came across the bike that some rider had a rough landing on.
Hope he (or she's) ok. Bike looks like it'll be a good rebuilder for those looking and with a strong will.

Posts: 175 Hinton, Iowa | That is Frank's (Gravelfider) bike. I got to see Frank this weekend at the AVR and though he did
have a rough landing he is in good spirits and healing nicely, all things concidered.

Posts: 296 Central Florida | Frank has had a real tough recovery! he almost didnt make it!
I had NOT posted here but I am also a member of those that went down! I went down at 40 mph and broke my Tibia in three places(Tibia Plateau fracture) Bike had very little damage and other than leg all is well. I have been off my leg for 10 weeks and just started full weight
2 weeks ago. I have a full brace and I am walking with Cane as of today.

Posts: 171 San Antonio, Texas | Sorry, I'm just looking for a bit more of the story to find out how both sides of the bike got damaged. I've heard tales of them going over on to the tip overs, bouncing up, then straightening out and going further down the road. I was wondering if something like that happened here and the bike went from side to side...... |

Posts: 1632 Jasper, MO | He had a sudden flat tire (rear) and the tire debeaded, causing a sudden loss of control. The bike, and Frank, hit a guard rail causing the bike to spin and flip. The bike is still in surprisingly good shape other than the broken plastic parts, and still starts and runs just fine. There are several electrical issues with it, including a non-functioning radio. Could be a fuse, or could be worse. Who knows? The bike is located about 30 minutes west of me and I've seen it in person. It was totaled due to the extension damage to the (very) expensive body parts. The pictures shown on Ebay do not show the total extent of the damage.

| Thats a rough ride when you get a flat tire. I've had a couple rear flats and a front, sure makes your butt pucker. Can't even image how bad a ride with the tire bead breaking. Hope he (Frank) gets well soon.
Devilboy same goes for you bud. Get well!! |

| Well, hope I didn't screw the pooch 'cause I just bought Franks bike. I did not see all the comments beforehand. The guy who has it says it runs and drives O.K. He did not mention any electrical issues. I thought I had pretty well got a handle on all the bodyparts I needed but the electrical issues kind of worry me. Any more details? Thanks |

Posts: 1632 Jasper, MO | When I looked at the bike it started and ran fine, but I couldn't get the audio system to work. It may be as simple as a blown fuse, because there are some broken lights which would have been lit at the time of the crash, and they could have blown some fuses. I would guess that the bike is okay mechanically, just needs body parts. Good luck.

| Does anyone know how to get in touch with the original owner. I would like to ask him about the bike and what has and has not been done to it. Spare keys, books , recalls etc. Thanks, Steve |
