| I disconnected the main connector, but there was a spare wire with a female end connecter just hangin there.... What is that for?
Thanks |

| I believe it is a power lead for hooking up say an additional powerlet port but honestly haven't gone to a wiring diagram to look. If I recall it was grey with a pink stipe? Regardless it isn't something that is "suppose" to be hooked up but got missed.

| Ok, thanks! I knew it was not plugged in to something, but then I started second-guessing myself.... Thanks! Bike was nice w/o the trunk, but I missed by "surround sound" speakers, and really noticed no difference in handling. It did seem to blow my shirt up more... But I like the look more than I thought I would.
Nice that it looks soooo good either way!

| I really like the Street look, and I do notice a definite difference in weight with the trunk removed which makes the bike easier to toss around. However like yourself the speakers and additional storage always force me to put the trunk back on. Still I always seem to pull it for couple weeks per summer. Maybe I'll just install some better front speakers, lol........ |

| As far as easy and good speaker upgrade---> I "upgraded" from the dealer, and what they put in are Alpine 5 1/4" speakers. They are much nicer and clearer...which equates to louder. It is a long story, but lets' just say that these speakers are sold at all Best Buy's and are about $95.00 per pair. I added the $15 warranty for 4 years as high volume and weather could cause an issue....nice warranty!
I am very happy with the results! Of course, we would need an amp and all that to really make a difference. These speakers are WELL worth it. Here is the link:

hope my link works... otherwise, they are Alpine model# SPS-500 |
