| I'm looking at the vision after 30 yrs of goldwinging and want to know why so many '08 owners are already moving to the '09 models. Love the bike but should I think '09 or '10? |

| "so many 08 ownrs are already moving to 09 models"???? Where?
The 09 allows you to pick up reverse if you want it, the 08 is not designed to accept reverse.... and the 09 had some vey minor changes made on the motor but I can't say why. I'm sure it is some improvement Victory felt was appropriate but I don't think it is anything that causes the 08 to suffer any ill affects.
I'd be willing to bet you could find a good deal on either an 08 or 09 since the 10's will be arriving soon. If you think you'll want reverse the 09 or 10 would be the appropriate choice. If you don't think you'll be wanting reverse the 08 will work just fine. I think "most" 08 owners are quite content with their bike, so if they are moving onto an 09 model the only "reason" for doing so would be to have the reverse option. I've ridden 09's and they feel and act just like my 08.
So long and short is what color do you like? That will dictate what model year you might look at. |

| I would say get the 09 or 08. The 10's do not have the 5 yr warranty, and you will have to pay for some options that are included on the premium version of the 09 and 08. I believe the power windshield, heated grips and seats, and some chrome is NOT standard on the 10.
Either way, you're gonna be happy riding it! I love mine. ... 09 Black TP... |

Maybe a '12 but I can't think why unless it'll be cheaper to go new instead of remaking the Bentley. I feel I finally got the Bentley broken in an getting it suited for me. But beyond the minor things that makes folk go for the '09, like color or accessories, I wouldn't know why. |

Just asking - are you sure? When I was looking into the cable system - I though that it would work for basic GPS stuff. Now if your looking at the XM piece (stereo) that is a a little different but you could use the audio input cable for it - or so I thought.

| Mfoster, actually there was some confusion created by the Victory website. The pwr ws, heated grips and seat are still all standard on the Vision. For some reason the website folks made a mess of getting the info posted so it appeared on the website as though all the stuff we liked as standard equipment on earlier models was now optional, but that is not the case. All the stuff we like is still standard equipment.
Reverse is still and option as is abs. Personally I'd like to see the reverse as a standard feature for the price folks are paying for 10's but I would imagine your dealer would toss in the extended warranty ($600 value) or reverse ($1400) if it was going to be a deal breaker. |

Posts: 193 Buford, GA United States | I just crossed 20k miles on my 08 and it is getting better every time I ride. This past weekend I rode about 100 miles on the blue ridge parkway and every time we stopped to look at the views I had people running across the parking lot wanting to know about the Vision. Funniest one was while we stopped in Highlands NC, I walked out of the store and this woman was looking at the bike and yells out "Who in the hell is riding this and what the hell is it!?" She owned a Ninja but had never seen a Vision... |
