| a favorite ride road??? In VA there is a short stretch of road connecting to rt 52 south from the north, I believe it is rt 958. It is not very long but It is the section of road I most look forward to riding. It is the first section of extremely tight, low posted speeds switchbacks that I hit on my yearly migration south and the last as I head back north. Each year I try to up my game by timing myself from the rest area at the top start to the final turn to Wytheville. No roads like that in my back yard so I really get a kick out of it.
How about sharing your favorite??? |

| I have Charleston Blvd, to Red Rock and Blue Diamond, and up to the Spring Mountain Bar. A nice, slightly twisty piece (though the speed limit was recently lowered to funereal pace) with some gorgeous desert scenery that drops 12 degrees at the watering hole. There's usually some interesting scenery there, too, mostly two wheeled with lots of chrome. |

Along this just west of Boulder is a road called Burr Trail, is paved for about 17 mile and is phenominal. Then in Colorado, Hw. 550 out of durango north...again lots of twisties and elevation changes. Finally in Arizona from Springerville south on Hw. 191 down to Morenci/Clifton. This is Arizonas version of Tali of The Dragon.......

Then we have Cherohala Skyway (Hwy 168, I think, in TN changes in NC), then their is Hwy 421 up in Shady Valley, TN...going there this weekend weather permitting..., the southern portion of the Blue Ridge Parkway, and a bunch of other more obscure roads we like to ride!!

Posts: 172 Prescott, Az | I love the ride from Sedona through Oak Creek Canyon. It can get crowded on weekends but it is a spectacular ride through the red rock canyon, up the twisties to the amazing overlook just south of Flagstaff. In the 32 years I've lived here I've been there dozens of times and it never gets boring or less beautiful.
