That when you get your bike serviced have your mechanic grease your clutch lever retaining bolt. I just picked my bike up from having a 7000 mile service done. He told me this morning when I picked it up that they are finding that the clutch lever if not properly lubed on a consitent basis that they can start to stick and then you have no clutch. He said he has seen this happen on two Visions so far. He asked me to post this not to alarm folks but just to have folks keep an eye on this issue they have found. My clutch lever feels way better now that he took care of mine even though mine seem fine to me to be begine with.

I have not seen any stick, but they damn sure get ratty feeling. That kinda stuff is a pet peeve of mine. You should also lube the brake lever at the same time. I personally prefer to use marine grease. It's thick, sticky, and stays where you put it. While you are at it. I also pull the bottom roller out of the clutch arm, clean, and lightly grease it. You would not believe how much difference that makes in clutch feel

Funny thing, if anyone would look at the service chart, you will see that the lever is to be lubed every other time it is in for scheduled service. So this is not supposed to be a big secret or some mechanics inside info. Yes you should make sure it has been done or at least does not require it at that particular service interval. I have only had to lube mine about every 5K miles. Oh wait, that just happens to be the service interval recommended. You can tell real easy if it needs to be lubed, you will hear it creak and make much more noise than normal.

LOL Yuo guys know what i meant by this, some folks dont read their manual, etc.. I also read that along ago but I was just giving a heads up to those who might have over looked that. I just never heard loosing the clutch all together if you didnt lube it is what i really think the mechanic was trying to say. Shezz what a tuff crowd. My bad for bringing it up.
