Posts: 212 Tavares, Fl | I found a whitewall tractor tire that might fit with a little work on the front end, cheaper than a motorcycle tire and a tractor tire certainly must provide more traction to the front end, other than that I could not find a whitewall that would fit, I think the whitewall would look good on this bike..... |

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | there used to be, I think, back in the older days a thing you could slap on to make any tire white wall. the last time I seen something like that though is when i was a little squirt and the tops of tires came waist high. |

Witchbiker,
I agree, a nice whitewall pinstripe would look outstanding on the Vision. I searched for a long time before going back with a set of Dunlop E3s. You can find a ww, but it's a bias ply. I think it was an Avon? Possibly Metzler.
Anyway, I decided to wait for a bit until they make a ww radial. If you do put a ww on the Vision be sure and post a pic. I would love to see it. |

Posts: 117 Spring Hill, Tennessee | Can you, or anyone else, explain the difference in a radial tire as to a bias tire? Why would you want one or the other?
I take it our Visions came with Radials?
Thanks |

Bias-ply
A type of tire construction utilizing plies that run diagonally from one bead to the other. One ply is set on a bias in one direction, and succeeding plies are set alternately in opposing directions crossing each other. Sometimes called a cross-ply tire.
Radial
The tire construction utilizing plies that run radially from bead to bead under the tread. This construction requires a belt to stabilize the tread and define the tire diameter.
The Vision comes with radial tires, they are Dunlap E-3 tires.
Usually high performance motorcycles now come with radial tires. They provide better wear, better ride comfort, and better contact to the road. |

Posts: 152 Litchfield Park, AZ | Bias ply tires are made with cotton...at least they used to. The City of Goodyear, AZ was named for the Goodyear factory out in the desert making tires for the military during the war. The region was perfect for growing cotton and was also close to all the aerospace work in Phoenix.
....just some useless trivia I thought I would pass along. |

My HD Road Glide uses bias tires, but then again, its no performance machine!! LOL |

Can you explain the difference between these 2 sizes?
MT90B16 & MU90B16
Are these the same size tire? |
