Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | Just more of my useless musings, but I took a moment to actually wipe down the Bentley. I suffer it to be outside and was looking for another cover for it the other day. I found that keeping it covered causes its own problems with moisture. So I do need to get a structure to park it under.
When I finished wiping down the bike I stood back to see if I missed any spots. I couldn't help but really admire it as a real thing of beauty. Whether intentional or not, that bike carries something no other bike has and that is a flow. Again, only musings, but I cannot see myself riding anyother bike and personally I would like to see the Vision get sucked up into the other look alikes, like the bagger, so mine and few others will be the unique ones. I hope you understand my point. I really hope the classic Vision lives on.
The bike is solid and very well built to last a life time. My motor is bullet proof, and find the reliability superior. In riding nearly two years the honeymoon is still going strong and look forward to many more days of riding. Some may feel being a daily rider is a bad thing for a motorcycle, but this bike only gets better with every mile. I see this motor going well beyond 100,000 miles and hope that when the time comes I can do an overhaul and keep on riding.
Anyway, enough of my musing, I could go on, but I've made my point and thought I'd share.

While standing in line I looked out the stores windows at the Vision at the gas pump. They almost had to tap me on the shoulder to move up to pay because I was mesmerized by the view.
True love.

| I had much the same thoughts awhile back, and an idea for a poster. I'll see if I can make it load into the Motivational posters thread. |

Posts: 1158 Richmond, Virginia | All of our beliefs and loves for this bike are just examples of what a jackass the "reviewer" in Rider Magazine was when they
listed the Vision 3rd place and said " With all of its outstanding performance, comfort, ride, quality, it would have probably placed FIRST
except ONE of our "reviewers" could not get past the "A B S U R D styling". To me anyone who "reviews" bikes
needs to leave their PERSONAL emotions out of a review. They are there to compare bikes in comfort, performance, quality, handling etc. To say that our Visions are " ABSURD" is just as assinine as saying " I dont like blue motorcycles, therefore its a lower rated bike". I encourage each of you to write into the editor of Rider Magazine and express your feelings for such an unprofessional and
STUPID comment that resulted in what the other 3 reviewers considered a FIRST PLACE WINNER , to end up as 3rd place.
While im on my tirade, evolution is here to stay Earth beings, everything evolves, I remember when the BMW got a total re-design and people who had 20 year old BMW's couldnt cope with the change. Now you never hear from anyone about it. If there was no evolotion and no change in thinking, attitude, looks, design, we would all STILL BE DRIVING A BIKE THAT LOOKS LIKE EVERY
OTHER HARLEY DAVIDSON, runs like one, sounds like one, and we would all have long hair in a pony tail, and wear glasses on our face that are so big and thick that we could all start forest fires. Progress is change, get used to it and get over it. Otherwise we would all still be in the dark ages with no electricity, no clean water, and no Airconditioning. BTW do you think someone way back then said " AIRCONDITIONING HOW ABSURD" |

This reminds me of that commercial with Tony Stewart in it (NASCAR). I have these moments everytime I pass the Vision in the garage. I LOVE the looks of this bike.

Posts: 2118 Pitt Meadows, BC Canada | We are a SPECIAL club - those of us who are lucky enough to own a Vision. In my 50 years of riding - I have not seen ONE motorcycle that excites people ANYWHERE NEAR as much as this one. Imagine - NOT A SINGLE BRAND/MODEL IN 50 YEARS!!!!
And I kinda keep track of Negative/Positive reactions - and positive RULES BY A TON. From "grudging admiration" of HD types to absolute raving reviews from old ladies - this bike just draws everyone into its Aura. And they all do something I seldom saw with any other bike - they ALL actually have to speak up and tell you that.
Not ONE OTHER BIKE - ones I have owned, or my friends have owned - have had this kind of reaction from people. So - "F**k the reviewers - they are just jealous because they don't make enough money to buy one..... |
