| I started to recognized the sleep deprivation started the day after I put down the money on it last week. Already have a 500 mile trip planned that day for the break-in. Hope the weather is good!

Posts: 5 Annapolis, MD 21401 | Hello all. I just registered. I'm looking for a new bike right now and this post caught my attention. I just happened to call my local Victory dealer today. I told him that I was interested in looking at the 2010 Vision and that I really didn't know a lot about Victory. From what I've been reading, they sound like a bike I should check out. He told me that I was welcome to come by and test ride one of their demo's, but that he wouldn't have any 2010's until at least the middle of December. I was really hoping to get something sooner than December. I was planing on heading over to my local HD dealer and probably buying a new 2010 Ultra Classic. I have an '07 Ultra now and like it a lot, it's just that some of the things the Victory Vision has I'm interested in. What do you think is up? Is he on the level? How sure are you guys that the 2010's will be here this month?
Thanks for the info. And any info you guys have for a HD rider, let me have it!
Dave. |

Welcome! Where are you located?
I think this bike was pre-ordered. Most of the first ones out of the factory are pre-orders. Other than ABS and Reverse most Vision features can be found on any Premium Vision Tour 2008 model.
For ABS as an option, you have to wait for a 2010 model. Reverse is an option on the 2009 and up year models.
If the dealer is offering a Vision demo, do it.
I have 12,000 miles on my Vision and it is low mileage compared to others here. Varyder has over 52,000 miles on his in about 22 months.
Here is another thread you might enjoy.

Posts: 5 Annapolis, MD 21401 | I'm in Annapolis, MD. The dealer is here in Annapolis. The one thing I must have on my new bike is ABS. I'd like to have the reverse also. I have it on my BMW LT and it comes in handy sometimes. I wonder why he told me no earlier than mid December? Does it have something to do with the size of the dealership or anything? I'll have to check with the other dealer in Maryland to see what they say.
Thanks for the info. |

| Reverse does come in handy some times.
I read somewhere that any of the "New" items for 2010 such as ABS will not be available with the early 2010's.
Have you ridden a Vision without ABS?
I have over 14,500 miles so far this year on my 09 and have never had the need for brake assist. |

Posts: 1158 Richmond, Virginia | ABS totally unnecessary. Its about as useless as "nitrogen in car tires". Ive owned two bikes with ABS, my ST1300 and my BMW1100RT, didnt notice a thing... My dealer here in Virginia (close to MD) has two 09 Visions in stock. Save the money, there is no difference in the bikes. www.catlincustomcycles.com ask for Jeremy or Julie spend the money on chrome instead, you wont ride any safer, but you will get laid more.... |

| I did notice the differences on my 2008 Road Glide with and without the ABS.
But I do like the part about getting laid more.
