I MAY BE on my way to Warren, Mi next week for business. How many Vision riders do we have in the area that might want to take a spin or grab a cup of joe?

Again, it is tentative, but just want to give a heads up as I would like to meet other Vision riders and see the tricked out rides.

I'm running stock so nothing impressive except the 52,000+ on the clock.

What route are you taking to get there? If you are passing close to Buffalo we can make the trip.

Ugh. What the hell would you want to go to Detroit for??

You'll sorta be in my neck of the woods (I'm a couple hours North of there), so it all depends on when you'll be there and for how long.

If you need anything for the bike while you're in town there's a Vic dealer just a tad North of Warren in Utica,

as always the trip is up in the air. I'm going up for business, other than that I have no other purpose above the Mason-Dixon. I'm wanting to ride, but I might not have the time to do so. So I'll have to wait until next week to see if I'm fly U.S. Scaire, or Vision airlines as the pilot.

Here we go again. I'm on a tight schedule so what I want to do is not necessary what I can do.

I'm traveling on Tuesday, all day, stopping in PA to visit my brother, then on to Warren Mi by 9:00pm. I have to do my business from 8:00 am to 11:00 am on Wednesday, and then I have to hit the road to be back in Central Va by daybreak on Thursday. That's my schedule as I'm short on time and I would rather ride than fly. I can't wait until I retire so I can be on my own schedule...

Okay. I've got it now. I'm leaving tuesday morning to warren, mi and heading straight there on US rt 250 all the way to route 2 in Ohio. from there it is I-75 and whatever to get to my destination. Wednesday, around noonish, I'll begin my journey to my brothers place in PA and spend the night, taking my time to get home on Thursday. I'll have a little give time around lunch in the detroit area so if anyone is out that way I would look forward to meeting up.

my route back will take me back to 2 in ohio across to 422 and on to the altoona area my evening on wednesday.

Just checked out 422 aka The Ben Franklin Highway. Looks like a great ride. Sorry I can't take any time off work this week. We WILL meet up another time.

Hey Ken thanks! If you follow 33 from Richmond on into 250 in West Virginia and on across into Ohio I'll be putting good wear on the sides.

I'll be pressed to go up but will be able to take some time on the way back on 422.

This is a snap of part of the ride through WV, woooo hoooo....

I'm leaving out from Richmond around 5 am. I'll be running Iron Butt style to make it by a reasonable hour Tuesday night in Warren, 9PMish. Why do I put my self through such trauma????

I mapquested it and it appears to be 630 miles or so. Is that right? If so, you should have more than enough time, to goof off. That's what about 8 hours or so for you. Grab those iron cheeks of yours, saddle up and get to it. Nothing like a ride up for four hours of work and ride back. Cheesy-weesy. You probably ought to fly, that way you won't have to worry about the rain.

very close to the 630 miles taking the back way. if you get down to it, it is just for ONE HOUR I'm countin' the prep time and the lollygaggle afterwards.

Hey, work is not work to me and I look forward to these all expense paid vacations they plan for me. remember, it's not about the destination, its the journey that matters.

I can't wait to split WV across the middle, every road I've ever been on in WV is either left or right, up or down or a combination of all four at the same time.

tuesday night I might be there around 6pm and after I get checked in I might be able to take a spin around the block. I can't make a promise on that as who knows what will happen going through WV or even Ohio. That is where alot of the UFO's are sighted and they my mistake me for an alien riddin' a spaceship...

MOTOWN is GO TOWN. What a great ride. I had a flawless 15 hour ride, 700+ miles. over half of it on continual twisties through West "By God" Virginia on Rt 250. 35mph - 65mph 4th 5th 6th, 5th, 4th gear for 7 hours. I've got good wear on the edge also, so I should get a few more "flat" miles out of them since I saved about 350 on the middle.

only two near misses, well, maybe three

1) on a tight dual lane left hand turn I'm getting ready to scrap when the young lady in the outside lane does a dale, jr and cuts down in front of me. i hit the brakes and upright and let her go on. i don't think she knew what she did.

2) moving along in slow traffic there is a bike in front me. he's riding outside track, i've got the inside track, with a little distance. i'm taking in the scenery for a second and when i look back front he's making a right hand turn. I could have panic stopped but opted to go to the yellow, there was no oncoming traffic and jet around him. I felt rather dumb, and if he knew what almost could have happened he's probably still cussing me.

3) a semi came whipping around a sharp turn and his trailer moved over the yellow line which i almost kissed

I shot some video going and coming back, low quality, but still decent enough to watch. I came through Bedford Pa and hit a slick spot as I was merging. When I started to slide I figured I was going down, but a knee jerk reaction made me stomp my right foot down, keeping me on the wheels. I've done this before naturally and don't know what else to do to keep from going down. If I had "rode it out" I would have certainly been on the tip overs in the middle of the road.

A 40 second clip; 33 seconds in is when the slip occurs.
